Conducing the biological assay on rats, they put on weight during 30 days . The weight varied according to the type of bacteria . feeding on yoghurt produced from local Bifidobacterium sp. with speciail diet blend got the highest weight . Rats fed on yoghurt produced from Strep. thermophilus bacteria with speciail diet blend got the least weight .
There was a reduction in the total count of bacteria and coliform bacteria in rat’s feces within 30 days feeding on yoghurt produced from different bacteria . The highest reduction percentage on microflora count in the two groups of rat’s feces occurred when they fed on speciail diet with yoghurt produced by using local and imported Bifidobacterium sp.

The study were conducted at 2001-2002 to study the effect of fertilization and early clipping on yield and its components of four bread wheat varieties (IPA - 95 , Abu - Graib ,
Rabia , Adnania ) . The plants were fertilized with 60Kg/ha of compound fertilizer NPK(27:27:0) and clipping once during the tillering stage . Result indicated the superiority of fertilizer in plant high , on of spikes/m2,seed index , grain and straw yield and harvest index , high significant value in grain and straw yield found in IPA-95 variety . The interaction between fertilizer with clipping and Non clipping treatment was significant for plant high , no of spike /m2 no of grains/spike , seed index , grain and straw yield and harvest index , IPA-95 variety with fertilizer and with clipping and non clipping gave high grain and straw yield the interaction between (IPA-95) X clipping X fertilizer treatments gave superiority grain and straw yield production .

This experiment was conducted in the Nursery of College of Agriculture , University of Kirkuk during Spring season of 2008 to study the effect of Four seedlings Ages (7 , 8 , 9 and 10 Weeks ) after sowing whith Three Oriental Tobacco varieties ( Gul spy , Gul sor and Samsun-1 ) on the growth characteristics of seedlings . The R. C. B. D. in the split plot with Three replications was used in this experiment .
The results indicated that the seedling age at 10 weeks affected significantly on most of the characters studied as stem height , stem diameter , No. of leaves / seedling , root length , seedling length , fresh weight of ( leaves , stem , and seedling ) , dry weight of ( leaves , stem and seedling ) and percentage of dry matter in the ( leaves , stem and seedling ) . seedling age at 7 weeks affected significantly on the percentage of the fresh and dry weight of leaves stem fresh and dry weight , percentage of the fresh and dry weight of leavesvegetative part fresh and dry weight , But seedling age at 9 weeks affected significantly on the leaf thicknees only .
Also a significant effect was found between the varieties , Gul spy variety affected significantly on the seedling dry weight and percentage of dry matter in the leaves , Gul sor variety affected significantly on the stem diameter , stem fresh and dry weight , But Samsun-1 variety affected significantly on the following characters : leaves dry weight , seedling dry weight, percentage of the leaves dry weight stem dry weight and percentage of the leaves dry weightvegetative part dry weight . No significant effect found between the varieties of characters No. of leaves / seedling and leaf thicknees .

Four parents and six F1 hybrids of a half diallel cross were grown in Mshkab region in 2006- 2007 using randomized complete block design with three replications. Tillers number per penicle exhibited significant correlation with grain yield. Path coefficient analysis revealed that tillers number per vine contributed most to grain yield . The estimated of determination coefficient as percents were showed that tillers number per penicle (29.15%),plant height (5.87%) and the joint effects of tillers number per panicle and plant height (14.67%).

This study was done on selected strains of bareley evaluated and controlled with tow common varieties (sameer and local variety) to determine the suitable varietes of barely cultivated under gypsum soils in the field of agriculture college of Tikrit university under sprinkler system irrigation for the 2004-2005 season.
The results were :
All the strains varied significantly of all studied characters .the strain (J41) showed highest value gained in plant height, (J45) gained higher value in number of spikes, the stain (J30) gained higher value in number of grains ,the strain (J31) gained higher value in spike length ,while the strain (J22) gained higher value in weight of 1000 grains ,and the strain (J44) gained higher value in single plant yield ,
The genetic and phenotypic variance values were higher than the environment variance which caused to increasing of the heritability of broad sense H2.b.s for the all characters. And should the number of spikes are a higher of genetic again which a value ( 52.209).

This experimental was carried out in a clay loam soil at the experimental research station of the field crop department, College of Agriculture, University of Tikrit during the autumn season 2004. This work is aimed to study the effects of three plow types (disc, chisel , mold board) and three nitrogen fertilizer levels(0,240,480) kg Ha on growth and grain yield characteristics of Maize (Zea mays L.) variety IPA 3001. Seed quantity used in experiment was 7.5 kgha.

To study suitable combination of applying N and K as foliar fertilizers on some yield quality and yield of cotton ( cv.coker 310 ) a field experiment was conducted at the State Board for Agric . Res./ Station Abu-Ghraib during 2001 and 2009 seasons , RCBD design with 3 replication was used on Silty Clay Loam soil .
The experiment consisted of 17 treatments prepared from all combinations of 4 levels of each N and K ( 0 , 1500 , 3000 , 4500 ) mg.l-1 in addition to the standard treatment where NPK ( 200 N + 100 P and 150 K) were soil applied.
The results showed that the suitable N- foliar fertilization treatment was 3000 mg N.l-1 which caused significant differences in seed cotton yield and lint of the two seasons .The mean increased to about 30.4 and 6.6 % for seed cotton yield and 20.3 and 6.6 % compared with the control and 1500 mg N.l-1 treatments respectively.
Using K- foliar fertilization treatment (4500 mg K.l-1 ) caused significant differences in seed cotton yield ,and lint the mean increased to about 30.2 and 7.8 % and in yield cotton lint to about 19.2 and 6.4 % compared to the control and 1500 mg K.l-1 treatments respectively.
The application of (3000 N + 4500 K ) mg.l-1 significantly increased seed cotton yield 3862 Kg/ha and, lint 844.4 Kg/ha and fiber Length 27.20 ml comparing with the other foliar treatment, While no significant differences recorded in the other plant parameters ,this treatment also had increased effects compared with the soil application treatment.

This research was conducted in the nursery of technical institute in Mosul and Horticulture laboratories /college of Agriculture and Forestry / Mosul University during 2005 season to investigate germination of "lotus" kaki seeds:
Seeds of kaki rootstock "lotus" from mature fruits, cleaned and soaked for 24 hours in GA3 solutions at the concentration (0,50,100 and 200 mg.l-1),and stratified in the refrigator at 4±1° c for (40,60 and 80 days) in peatmoss medium. The experiment was factorial in in randomize complete block design (RCBD) with 4 replicates. The results cleared that seeds treated with 100 and 200 mg.l-1 and / or stratified for a longer period have the best germination percentage , and in crement in stem diameter and seeding length. The best seeds germination (62.4%) obtained from the interaction between 80 days stratification and 200 mg.l-1 GA3 treatment

The study was conducted on the greenhouse / Hort. Dept. / College of Agric. / Univ. of tikrit from from April 2008 till June, to investigate the effects of 5 different medium culture and treated cutting with seradix and their interactions on growth and root cutting of Pelargonium zonale .
The influence of two factors was studied, seradix treatment and different medium culture. Treated cutting with seradix or not treated. Five medium used , sand, peat moss, gypsum soil, sand : peat moss, gypsum : peat moss.
The results showed the seradix treatments caused a significant increase in rooting percentage and all others root’s parameters comparison with untreated cuttings.

This experiment was conducted in vegetable field .Department of Horticulture ,Collage of Agriculture ,University of Baghdad ,to study the effect of whey sprayed at aconcentration of ( 0,25,50% ) plus micro- element on growth and yield of tomato plant c.v.sun -6108 during spring seasons of 2004and 2005 .
The results showed that the whey spayed at aconcentration of 50% plus micro-element sprayed three times coused significant increaseson some of vegetative charactetistice to plant , plant height 71.33and 79.00, leaves area 108.54 and 115.82 ,
leaves chlorophyll content 142.02 and 143.14 , besides it increase in , fruit weight 105. 02, 110.50 g , number of fruit 34.25 and 38.31 and yield per plant 3.243, and 3. 67 kg / plant .

The study aimed to identify the rural women's, exposure to agric. Information sources and to determine the relationship between level of exposure and some related factors. The results showed that:
There was appositive significant relationship between the respondents exposure to agric. Information sources and level of education, while there was anegative significant relationship between respondents exposure and family size. On the other hand there were no significant relationship between respondents exposure to agric. Information sources and rural women's, age, farm size, agric. Income, on agric income, number of participants in agric work.

This study was conducted during 2006 and 2007 growing seasons to investigate the effect of sulphur , phosphorus and GA3 on the concentration of N, P , K and S in the leaves of Coronet peach transplants which were budded on peach seedling rootstock and planted in black polyethylene bags containing 9 Kg soil . Three levels of each sulphur ( 0 , 250 and 500 mg. S Kg-1soil ), phosphorus ( 0 , 15 and 30 mg. p Kg-1 soil ) and GA3 ( 0 , 15 and 30 mg. GA3 L-1).The agriculture sulphur ( 95 % S ) used as a source for sulphur and triple super phosphate ( 22 % P ) used as a source for phosphorus , which were mixed with the soil when the transplants planted in the bags at 17th of febroury at both seasons . Transplants were sprayed with GA3 twice at both seasons , first spray was after 45 days from full buds burst , while the second was after one month from the first spray . Results indicated that the application of sulphur , phosphorus and GA3 each alone and all interactions among them (except the effect of phosphorus , GA3 and the interaction between its in N concentration , and the effect of GA3 on S concentration in the second season only ), significantly increased N , P , K and S concentrations in the leaves in both seasons . The treatment 500 mg. S Kg-1 soil + 30 mg. P Kg-1 soil + 30 mg. GA3 L-1. was the best , which gave the highest means of P , K and S at both seasons , the concentration of N , P , K and S on it respectively was, 2.63 , 0.19 , 2.21

Field experiment was conducted at field department of Horticulture at Agriculture of college , The University of Diyala in the autum season of 2007 – 2008 The soil was silty clay Loam , the aim of study the effect of seeding date and phosphate fertilizer on growth and yield of ( Trigonella foenum graecum L) . Twelve treatments included three seeding dates ( 15/11 , 1/12 and 15/12) with four levels phosphate fertilizer (0 , 200 , 300 , and 400 ) Kg P2O5/ha The experiment was factorial arranged in RCBD with three replications . the results show that : significant increased in plant hight , number of branches per plant , number of pods per plant , The dry and wet weight of root and vegetative branches and dry pods yield / ha where resulted from (400) Kg P2O5/ha . while heighest values of pod wet weight , where resulted from (300) Kg P2O5/ha . The early planting on 15 Novemper increased significantly of plant height , number of pods per plant , The dry wet weight of root and vegetative branches , wet pod weight and dry pods yield / ha . The lnteraction showed highly vegetative branches and dry pods yields (14.9) gm / plant and (657.8) Kg /ha respectively which obtanined by seeding date 15/11 and high level of phosphate (400) Kg P2O5/ha , compared with low vegetative branches and pods dry yield (2.8) gm / plant and (43.3) Kg/ha respectively , obtained by seeding date 15/12 and without phosphate fertilization.

أظهرت نتائج دراسة تأثير خمسة سلالات من الحمص (رافدين ودجلة وF97-25C ومحلي شوكي واباء510) وثلاث درجات حرارية 25 ، 30 ، 35 oم في بعض الصفات الحياتية لخنفساء اللوبياء الجنوبية Callosobruchus maculatus (Fab.) وكمية الفقد بالحمص ان السلالة محلي شوكي كانت الاقل تفضيلا للحشرة اذ بلغت كمية متوسط الفقد 0.27 غم ومعدل الزيادة 1.41 وكانت سلالة اباء510 الاكثر تفضيلا للحشرة وبكمية فقد 1.32 غم ومعدل زيادة 6.20 ، كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة ان اقل متوسط عدد بيض ونسبة فقس كانت على سلالة الحمص دجلة وبلغت 20.22 و 27.44% على التوالي واعلى متوسط عدد بيض ونسبة فقس على سلالة رافدين 47.67بيضة ونسبة فقس 61.67 على سلالة F97-25C ، وكان تأثير السلالات في النسبة الجنسية واوزان الاناث متباينا وغير معنويا وتراوحت بين 1:0.33-1:1.13 بينما اثرت معنويا في اوزان الذكور .
اما لتأثير درجات الحرارة اذ تفوقت الدرجة 30 oم عن بقية الدرجات في خفض متوسط كمية الفقد بالحمص وبلغت 0.64 فيما ازدادت معدل الزيادة بزيادة درجات الحرارة وبلغت 2.8 و 3.75 و 3.92 لكل من درجات الحرارة 25 ، 30 ، 35 oم على التوالي ، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود تأثير معنوي لدرجة الحرارة 30 oم في المتوسط العام لعدد البيض ونسبة الفقس واوزان الذكور لخنفساء اللوبياء الجنوبية وبلغت 33 بيضة و 52% و 61 ملغم على التوالي فيما لم يظهر لدرجات حرارة التربية تأثير معنوي في المتوسط العام للنسبة الجنسية واوزان الاناث .

اجريت الدراسة في حقول كلية الزراعة/ جامعة بغداد للموسم الخريفي 2007، لدراسة تأثير رش السماد العضوي Vit-org في نمو وانتاجية نبات القرع الصنف (غوطة الشام (سوري) وDP- 5302 (هولندي) والصنف المحلي (ملا احمد)) يحتوي السماد العضوي Vit-org على (نتروجين عضوي= 3% وزن/ وزن، اوكسيد الكالسيوم= 6% وزن/ وزن، فسفور عضوي= 13% وزن/ وزن، المادة العضوية الكلية= 22.4% وزن/ وزن)، رشت النباتات بتركيز 2، 3 و 4مل/ لتر ماء فضلاً عن معاملة القياس (الرش بالماء فقط) مرتين الاولى في مرحلة 3-5 اوراق حقيقية والثانية بعد مرور 15 يوم من الاولى ، تم الرش حتى مرحلة البلل التام، طبق تصميم القطاعات العشوائية الكاملة كتجربة عاملية، أظهرت نتائج الدراسة زيادة في طول النبات وعدد الأوراق والمساحة الورقية والوزن الجاف للنبات وحاصل النبات للصنف غوطة الشام اذ بلغت26.08سم، 22.16 ورقة/ نبات، 1.14م2/ نبات ،33.03غم/ نبات و 536.07غم/ نبات، وادى رش السماد العضوي Vit-org بتركيز 2مل/ لتر الى تفوق صفات النمو الخضري مقارنة بمعاملة القياس اذ بلغ طول النبات 27.22سم وعدد الاوراق 25 ورقة/ نبات ورش السماد العضوي بتركيز 4مل/ لترادى الى زيادة في نسبة الكلوروفيل بلغت 42.78 وحدة SPAD والوزن الجاف للنبات 35.37غم/ نبات والمساحة الورقية 1.18م2/ نبات وحاصل النبات 557.56غم/ نبات.

أظهرت نتائج دراسة السمية تبايناً في قيم التراكيز النصفية القاتلة LC50 لسلالات البكتريا Bacillus thuringiensis aegypti و B. thuringiensis alesti و
B. thuringiensis kurstaki ومبيدات الحشرات Fastac و Medamec و Runner في يرقات العمر الثالث لعثة درنات البطاطا Phthorimaea operculella (Zell.) ، إذ كانت سلالة B.t. alesti أكثر السلالات فاعلية تلتها سلالة B.t. kurstaki ثم سلالة B.t. aegtpti إذ بلغت قيم LC50 0.19 و 1.4 و 1.8 % للسلالات الثلاثة على التوالي. أما بالنسبة لسمية المبيدات فقد تباينت هي الأخرى بحسب نوع المبيد وأظهر المبيد Medamec فاعلية عالية في قتل اليرقات مقارنة بالمبيد Fastac الذي جاء بالمرتبة الثانية وأقلها مثبط النمو الحشري Runner إذ بلغت قيم LC50 0.00022 و 0.0028 و 0.27 %،للسلالات الثلاثة على التوالي. فيما أظهرت نتائج سمية مخاليط البكتريا فيما بينها ومخاليطها مع المبيدات تبايناً بحسب نوع البكتريا ونوع المبيد المستخدم في الدراسة.

بهدف دراسة تأثير التسميد الحيوي ( بفطر Glomus mosseae وفطر Trichoderma harzianum) والسماد العضوي ( Humic acid ) بصورة منفردة و متداخلة مع السماد العضوي ( حامض الهيوميك) على امتصاص البوتاسيوم واتزانه في التربة نفذت تجربة حقلية في حقل كلية العلوم /جامعة ديالى للموسم 2006-2005بحسب تصميم القطاعات التام التعشية (R.C.B.D) وشملت ثماني معاملات نتجت من تداخل عامل التلقيح بفطر المايكورايزا ، والتلقيح بفطر الترايكوديرما وعامل التسميد العضوي بحامض الهيوميك ، وكررت كل معاملة ثلاث مرات . واظهرت نتاثج التجربة :
تفوق معاملة التسميد بفطريات الـ مايكورايزا + ترايكوديرما عن غير المسمد بها وبنسبة زيادة مقدارها 54.1% حيث اعطت معدل امتصاص للبوتاسيوم مقداره kg K /ha 504.02.
تفوق معاملة التسميد بالحامض العضوي ( حامض الهيوميك ) عن غير المسمد بها وبنسبة زيادة مقدارها 24.5% حيث اعطت معدل امتصاص للبوتاسيوم مقداره kg 405.24% K /ha تفوق معاملة التسميد بالـ مايكورايزا + ترايكوديرما + الحامض العضوي على بقية المعاملات باعطائها اعلى امتصاص كلي للبوتاسيوم حيث بلغ 644.34 kg K /ha وبنسبة زيادة مقدارها 166% عن معاملة السيطرة.كل المعاملات اعطت ميزانا سالبا للمبوتاسيوم ( K Δ ) حيث اعطت معاملة التسميد بالـ مايكورايزا + ترايكوديرما + الحامض العضوي اقل قيمة للميزان مقارنة ببقية المعاملات (-367.54 kg K /ha)وبنسبة نقصان عن معاملة السيطرة مقدارها 156%وعن معاملة التسميد بالفطريات بدون اضافة الحامض العضوي بنسبة مقدارها 39%.

أختيرت اربعة انواع من المياه : مياه بحيرة سد الموصل ، مياة ينابيع ومياه بعض الأبار لتحديد نوعيتها وتأثيرها في بعض الخصائص الكيميائيه لتربة منطقة القوش ، وتم اخذ نماذج من هذه المياه والطبقة السـطحيه مـن الترب المروية وغير المروية واجريت عليها التحاليل الكيميائيه ، واظهرت النتائج ان مـياه بحيرة سـد الموصل والينابيع صنفت من النوع S1-C3 ومياه الأبار من النوع S1-C4 وكذلك اظهرت النتائج زيادة في كل من قيم التوصيل الكهربائي،نسبة امتزاز الصوديوم،الأيونات الذائبة، المادة العضوية والجبس وانخفاض في قيم درجة تفاعل التربة وكاربونات الكالسيوم.

أجريت هذه الدراسة في قسم الثروة الحيوانية في كلية الزراعة والغابات / جامعة الموصل، حيث تم جمع 200 عينة إدرار من نعاج وكباش كانت جزء منها تعاني من اعراض سريرية خاصة بامراض الجهاز البولي، وتوزعت على مجموعتين شملت المجموعة الاولى 100 عينة إدرار من حيوانات مذبوحة وشملت المجموعة الثانية 100 عينة إدرار من حيوانات حية، وقد اوضحت نتائج الدراسة وجود اختلافات في الصفات الفيزيائية للإدرار حيث لوحظ ان 23 % من عينات الإدرار كانت ذات لون تبني، و 26 % ذات لون اصفر فاتح، و 22.5 % ذات لون اصفر، و 15.5 % ذات لون اصفر غامق و 13 % ذات لون حليبي، وظهر ان 41 % من عينات الإدرار كانت شفافة، و 39 % عكرة قليلاً، و 7.5 % متوسطة العكر، و 12.5 % عالية العكر، وظهرت رائحة الامونيا في 13.5 % من العينات، ورائحة الاسيتون في 1 % من العينات، وظهر ان 71.5 % من عينات الإدرار كانت ذات كثافة نوعية طبيعية، و 28.5 % ذات كثافة نوعية منخفضة، كما لوحظ من خلال نتائج الدراسة ايضاً وجود اختلافات في الصفات الكيميائية للإدرار حيث شملت وجود البروتين في 28.5 % من العينات ووجود الدم في 15 % من العينات، ووجود الكلوكوز في 3.5 % من العينات ووجود مولد الصفراوين Urobilinogin في جميع عينات الإدرار، ووجود صبغة الصفراء Bilirubin في 3.5 % من العينات، ووجود الاجسام الكيتونية في 3.5 % من العينات، وكانت قيم الاس الهيدروجيني PH طبيعية في 71.5 % من عينات الإدرار، ومرتفعة في 28.5 % من العينات، كما لوحظ من نتائج الفحص المجهري لراسب الإدرار وجود اعداد كبيرة من خلايا الدم البيض وكريات الدم الحمر والخلايا الظهارية والبلورات في راسب إدرار الحيوانات التي اظهرت عزلاً جرثومياً. كما عزلت انواع واجناس متعددة من الجراثيم من عينات إدرار الحيوانات المذبوحة والحية وشملت جراثيم الايشريشيا القولونية Eschrechia coli وجراثيم المكورات المعوية البرازية Enterococcus faecalis، وجراثيم المكورات العنقودية الذهبية Staphylococcus aureus، وجراثيم الزوائف الهوائية Pseudomonus aeruginosa، وجراثيم الوتديات الكلوية Corynebacterium renale، وجراثيم المكورات الثنائية الرئوية Diplococcus pneumonae، وجراثيم الكليبسيلا الرئوية Klebsiella pneumonae، وجراثيم سالمونيلا التيفوئيد Salmonella typhi، وجراثيم المتقلبات الشائعة Proteus vulgaris وجراثيم زوائف الميرابيليس Proteus mirabilis ، وبصورة عامة بينت نتائج الدراسة ان نسبة الاصابة الجرثومية في إدرار الاناث كانت اعلى منها في الذكور، وان نسبة الاصابة بامراض الجهاز البولي الجرثومية في الاعمار الكبيرة كانت اعلى منها في الصغيرة.

This field study was conducted to know the effect of the two types of centrifugal spreader discs, the modified (with curve and straight blades) and Straight blades, with four different tractor speed (6.5, 8.3, 10.5, 12.6 km/h), and employed triplet super phosphate fertilizer. The effects of these factors were determined on the swath width, the evenness of spread (uniformity) of the fertilizer distribution, wheat yield, and the spreader performance rate (spreader productivity).
The results showed that the swath width, the evenness and the wheat yield decreased by increasing speed while the performance rate increased by increasing speed.
The modified disc showed a superior effect on the studied parameters comparatively with straight blades. The modified disc recorded with speed 6.5 km/h the best swath width (11.2m), best evenness (0.181%) and higher wheat yield (5271.800 kg/ha), while the disc with straight blades recorded with speed 12.6 km/h least swath width (9.5m), least evenness (19.85%) and least wheat yield (4319.600 kg/ha).

A field experiment was conducted using wheat ( Triticum aestivum var. Tamouz /2) as a test crop to evaluate the residual effect of heavy single application of three sources of P fertilizers viz: TSP, PR and M5 ( a new formula consisted of PR + elemental sulphur of which 20% of S was added as H2SO4 ) which applied once in the first year at four rates ( 0, 86, 172, and 344 kg P.ha-1) on wheat grain yield and P uptake. Results showed that a maximum grain yield was achieved by M5 and there was a significant increase caused by M5 and PR over TSP. Increasing P rate increased grain yield but it did not reach the maximum at the highest rate of application. The second rate of M5 gave a grain yield which was near the grain yield obtained by the fourth rate of PR and the third rate of TSP. The increase in wheat straw yield using M5 was significant (p=0.05) compared with PR and TSP. The fourth rate of P differed significantly with the first and second rate concerning wheat straw yield. The increase in P uptake was significant in the case of M5 compared with TSP and PR. The same trend was observed in the effect of P rate on P uptake as for wheat straw yield. NaHCO3 extractable P (Olsen P) followed the order: TSP
