In this study the Biochemical and hormonal changes has been demonstrated on the serum of (68) females, with
Benign and Malignant Breast cancer, and (15) controls, whose ages range was (18-67) years. Samples had been
obtained from Hazim Al-Hafed hospital for tumors and Al-Zahrawi Hospital (Breast Disease Center).
The study included measurement of the concentration of cholesterol, triglycerides, High Density Lipoproteins
(HDL), Low Density Lipoproteins (HDL) and Very Low Density Lipoproteins (VLDL), as well as Luteinizing
Hormone (LH) and Follicle – Stimulating Hormone (FSH).
The results showed significant increase (p<0.01) in cholesterol, triglycerides and (VLDL) concentration, while
there is no diflerence in serum (HDL) and (LDL) concentrations comparing with controls. The results also
showed significant increasment (p<0.001) in (FSH) level in all females with breast cancer while there was
significant increament (p<0.05) in (LH) level in follicular period and significant decrease (p<0.05) in
postmenopausal.
The results showed no change in all parameters in serum of females with benign tumors comparing with
control

Serum Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase, Alkaline phosphatase activities and calcium, phosphorus concentration
and electrolyte (sodium, potassium and chloride). Were measured in fifty patients with Urinary tract infections.
(twenty-five female, twenty five male) age between (seventy-fifteen). As well as in twenty persenes as control
group.
In comparison to control group, the results show significant increase in serum gamma-glutamyl transferase,
alkaline phosphatase activities in all patients, and showed no significant in calcium concentration for male and
female, but significant increase in phosphorus concentration for male and female, and showed no significant in
sodium concentration for male and female, while potassium showed significant increase for male only, and
significant increase in chloride concentration for male and female.
And the results showed that positive correlation between gamma-glutamyl transferase, alkaline phosphatase and
urinary tract infection for male and female only, and showed positive correlation between alkaline phosphatase
and chloride in female

The Research aimed to study the effect of car paining on some biochemical parameters in the blood of the
workers. It included three groups: the first group composed from 52 normal male persons not exposed to
pollutants and paints (control), the second group were car painters exposed to paint for up to 10 years and
composed from 32 persons and the third group were car painters exposed to paint for more 10 years up to 20
years which composed from 26 persons. Blood samples were taken from the three groups and centrifuged to
separate blood serum which was tested for iron, calcium, total protein, transferrin saturation and total iron
binding capacity. The results showed a significant decrease in serum calcium, iron, total protein and transferrin
saturation due to breathing of solvent vapours of paint suspended in the air which replaced the calcium and iron
in the serum by the heavy metals present in the paints. Also these elements will affect of the liver function and
decrease total protein in serum. On the other hand, iron binding capacity increased due to the decrease in iron
concentration in serum. The results also showed an increase in the alteration of these parameters with the period
of paint exposing. The research recommended that car painters must wear a half mast to protect them from the
effect of paint solvent vapors

This study was conducted from November 2007 to May 2008 for evaluation epidemiology of dermatophytes in
samarraa city , (120) samples had been collected from patients with different ages & both sexes from samarraa
Hospital & some other private clinics in samarraa city. The age of the patients ranged between more than 1
month to 64 year , which include (56) males and (64) females. Samples had been tested by direct Microscopic
examination using KOH 15% and 20% and culture examination on sabouraud dextrose agar.Direct microscopic
examination and culture showed 85% of (102) cases were positive, while 15% of (18) cases were negative .
Group age of (21-30) year showed higher ratio of infection with(31.3%).Infection had been classified clinically
into six types (Tinea croporis , Tinea manum , Tinea ungium , Tinea pedis , Tinea cruris and Tinea capitis).It's
clear that Tinea corporis showed the higher ratio with (45%) while the lowest ratio(8.3%) was with Tinea capitis

In the present work 10 wells were chose for studying water suitability for domestic and industrial use . These
wells located in some villages outside Mosul city center these villages are (Shalan village , Saudi , Um – hujaira ,
Tal – wardan , Well – ogla , Tal – matar ,Al Bootha , Al – azaam , Mahmud village and Ejdaida). village These
wells dugged in agricultural land far of the river or other water sources therefore the ground water is the
dependent water source for this land. The ground water has a very high solid level and undesirable taste . the
physical and chemical properties ( Electrical conductivity ,Chloride, Sulfate , Nitrate , Total Hardness ,Calcium ,
Magnesium , Sodium, potassium , and Total dissolved solid). had been analyzed and determined. The properties
which had been determined are The results revealed that must surveyed ground water were not suitable for
drinking , domestic and industrial uses as they exceed the concentration of dissolved solid , total hardness and
sulfate ions which reach to (19984 , 672 , 1836) mg/L respectively , the maximum allowance limits of
international and Iraqi stander.

A study was conducted to investigate the effect of different types of protein sources on broiler growth
performance that experimentally infected with E. tenella. Six hundred unsexed one – day – old broiler chicks
used in two experiments, the first included 300 Rose and the second include 300 Hubbard all birds were raised in
floor pens. In each experiment divided to three main groups of 100 chicks each according to the diet provided
which are diet that contained animal concentrate the first, The second contained vegetable protein concentrates
the third was excluded either of the above protein sources.Each main group was divided to two subgroups
represented treated and control. At 21 day of age, chicks were inoculated with 2×104
E. tenella sporulated
oocyst for each through mouth, broiler diets was evaluated by weekly live weight, weight gain, feed
consumption and feed conversion.. Record values indicate that chicks fed on vegetable diet shows significant
differences P<0.05 in growth performance from the second week until the end of experiments when it compared
with animal diet. Results indicated that significant differences remained after the fourth week in the infected
groups of vegetable chick's diet as compared to animal diet. Results showed ahigh significant differences P<0.05
in all the parameters between infected and control groups.Rose had shown higher records in most values
compared to Hubbard. It was concluded that broilers fed the vegetable diet and infected with E. tenella may
develop similar or higher performance activity compared to those on the animal diet as long as feeds formulated
diets with all nutrient needs to all chicks in this study

The present study include the investigation of photoreceptor cells(cones and rods) at the level of light
microscope, in the eye of three species of fresh water teleost fish, Garra lamta, Acanthobrama marmid and
Mastacembelus simach which belong to two different families and differ in their environmental light intensity
and feeding habits. type of rod was noted in each species of fish, which The results showed that the three species
have duplex retina (with rods andcones).One accumulated as groups,but these groups not organized.The rods
differ in lengthin each species and it’s outer segments cylindrical in shape except in the M. simach some of them
funnel in shape. The rods in both G. lamta and A. marmid appeared as several layers (stratified).Six types of
cones appeared in G. lamta which were unequal double,(dominant),long single, short single, thin& thick dwarf
and rarely triple cone, these cones consist of spherical ellipsosomes at the tip of ellipsoids, which disappeare in
the cones of other two species. In the A. marmid eight types of cones were noted ,which unequal douple, thick&
thin long single, thick and thin short single, thick and thin dwarf and rarely triple cones.In the M.simach there
were only two types of cones were noted twin and single cones .The cones classified as above types according to
their lengths, thickness, and the number of units(cells).The cones showed different organizations in their
arrangement in the three species as well as at the various regions of the same retina.In both G. lamta and A.
marmid the cones patterns may be organized rows or randomlydistributed,but in A. marmid more arranged.The
cones pattern in the M.smich was square organized in the central retina and row organized in the peripheral
retina

This study include the antimicrobial activity in different concentrations of extracts (aqueous, alcoholic,
Petrolium ether, Benzene, Chloroform, and acetone) for (Rhus coriaria) towards (12) species of pathogenic
bacteria :( Escherichia coli ,staph. epidermidis , staph . Saprophyticus, staph. aureus , Klebsiella sp, Protius
vulgaris,protius mirabilis, Serratia marcescens , Yersinia enterocolitica and Citrobacter spp, Ps. aeruginosa
samples,by using Well diffusion method comparing with antibiotics which used as control sample. The results
showed that the aqueous extraction for the plant have high inhibition activity towards all selective
microorganisms , the higest inhibition activity towards E.coli with radius of 38 mm while the lower activity was
toward Ps. aeruginosa .
In another hand the alcoholic extraction of the plant showes good inhibition activity towards all organisms with
all concentrations except Ps. aeruginosa which have inhibition activity just in the concentrate 25 mg/cm3 . while
the extraction of Petrolium ether showes weak up to good inhibition activity, while it have good inhibition
activity towards Citrobacter spp, but it don’t have any activity towards Protius spp and Ps. aeruginosa
The Benzene extraction have different inhibition activity it showes high response towards Citrobacter spp ,while
the microorganisms Ps. aeruginosa. and Providencia alcalifaciens have high resistance towards it .
About the Chloroform extraction have inhibition activity towards all selective microorganisms and highest
activity in contrast of Petrolium ether and Benzene extractions of plant and in contrast with the antibiotics
control the Serratia marcescens showes high sensitivity towards the extraction.
Finally , the results showes that the acetonic extraction of Rhus coriaria have high inhibition activity towards all
selective microorganisms to all concentration which used in this study , so according to these results we can say
that the Ps. aeruginosa have the less sensitivity towards Rhus coriaria extraction .

The results of extraction by, using 90% ethanol and hot aqueous water are visualized the identification of some
phenolic compounds; ellagic acid; (+) afzelechin, umbelleferone, catechin and epicatechin by using TLC
technique before using the mesewak, while the phenolic compounds,; gallic acid, (+) afzelechin, umbelleferone
and herniarin are also visualized in the alcoholic extraction which is treated withy saliva, The aqueous extract of
mesewak that dealing with saliva are identified other phenolic compounds; galic acid, (+) afzelechin and
herniarin and this case is confirmed practically that using of meswak with saliva is stimulated another phenolic
compounds. Bioassay of mesewak extraction of the primary granular microbes Echinococcus granulosus
espcially the first larva stage of granular parasite of sheeps at the concentration 10,15,20, and 25 mg/ml of
mesewale extractions showed that the con. (25mg/ml) had complete killing effective at larvas in the times
30,45,60 minute occasionally

This research was conducted to study the inhibitory activity of Frankinens against staphylococci , Methicillin
Resistant S.aureus (MRSA) and Coagulase Negative Staphylococci (CoNS)( (S.epidermis , S.saprophyticus)
and compared with inhibitory activity of some antibiotics The results showed that alcoholic extract was more
effective than aqueous extract and S.aureus was most effective with these extracts at 200 mg/ml concentration
and it was found that increasing the extract concentration to 400 mg/ml and decreasing concentration to 100
mg/ml accompanied by increasing and decreasing of extract inhibition activity and when comparing with some
studied antibiotics it was found that alcoholic extract (at 400 mg/ml) have superior effect than many antibiotics
which S.aureus resistant and it was comparable in its effect to other antibiotics

The current study addressed the effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on some physiological and biochemical
aspects in Cancer patients, 113 patients (18-75 years old) whom reviewing hospital oncology and nuclear
medicine in Mosul for the period from the beginning of November (2008) to the end of March (2009) were
divided into groups based on the type of treatment . These groups were : Chemotherapy ,Radiotherapy ,chemoradiotherapy,non-treated ,control group (30 )The study showed a decrease in concentration of Hemoglobin
(%Hb) , Packed Red cells volume (PCV) and Platelets in non-treated patients compared with control , such
decrease was also observed in chemotherapy and chemo-radiotherapy groups , while an increase in Hemoglobin
and platelet was showed in Radiotherapy group compared to non-treated groups . No significant difference in
total count of Leucocytes observed between the non-treated group .In comparison with the control, an increase
in malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration and a decrease in glutathione (GSH) concentration were observed in
case of non-treated groups . (MDA) concentration were decreased in all treated groups compared with nontreated one while an increase in (GSH) concentration was observed in both radiotherapy and chemo radiotherapy
groups compared with non-treated group.Concerning the Cholesterol concentration , it was increased in nontreated groups compared to control No significant differences were shown between chemotherapy group and
non-treated one while both radiotherapy and chemo-radiotherapy groups showed an increase in concentration of
cholesterol compared with non-treated group .An increased concentration of triglycerides (TG) was observed in
non-treated group compared with control . Also it increased in case of chemotherapy and chemo-radiotherapy
groups compared with non-treated while a decrease in (TG) concentration was observed in case of radiotherapy
compared with non-treated grou

This study was desined to evaluate the morphological change and histological malformation for therapeutic and
over therapeutic doses of Relief drug in liver and kidney of the rabbit .
Nine rabbits were used in this study and divided in to three groups , each group consis of three rabbit first group
was used as acontrol group , second group was treated therapeutic dose at adose 10.7 mg/kg/day of the drug .
third group was treated with over therapeutic dose atadose 21.4 mg/kg/day of the drug seven days for each dose
the groups were given the drug orally inside the esophagus by using gavage that consist of delicate bent or
curved tube.
In this study liver and kidney were taken in the results reveal morphological changes in histological
malformation disparate in their stringency according to concentration in duration of the dose , these changes in
direct proportion forward with the concentration and duration of the doses , these tissues changes includes
degeneration, cells swelling , histolysis and necrosis of the tissues , in general severe hemorrhage happened in
the damaged cells regions, in the damaged glomeruli of the kidney and hepatocytes cells of the liver .
The therapeutic dose second dose 10.7 mg/kg/day was the less effective while the over therapeutic dose (21.4
mg/kg/day) was most effective

The study includes the inhibitory activity of both natural and traditional hony on the some of gram positive and
gram negative bacteria including ( proteus mirabilis , E.coli , serratia marcecens and Staph. aureus). The study
showed the abcence of inhibitory activity of both types of un diluted hony on all types of tested bacteria after
dilution of both type of honey at aratio of 1:2 . The result showed different effect for each one , the effect of 1:2
of natural honey on bacteria (E.coli , proteus mirabilis , Serratia marcecens) were (41 , 30 , 25)mm respectivily ,
that mean the largest effect was on the E.coli , while the effect of the traditional honey at the same concentration
on the bacteria (E.coli , proteus mirabilis , Serratia marcecens , Staph. aureus) were (44, 30, 20, 10) mm
consequently. The concentration 1:2 was considered as measurable concentration . other concentration were
prepared and its effects was tested on the bacteria under study , the largest effect of the natural honey was
showed to be on Serratia marcecens at dilution 1:4 and the zone of inhibition was 35mm , while the largest effect
of traditional honey on the bacteria proteus mirabilis at dilution 1:4 and the diameter was 22m

This study was conducted to determine the effect of different ratio 2% , 4% , 6% from Nigella sativa in feed of
broiler chicks on the averages of body weights and some hematological parameters in broiler chicks . Measuring
weights and hematological parameters have been weekly by taking 10 birds from every group randomly in
order to course these tests and depending there results in analytical analysis , this study illustrated significant
increase on the averages of body weight and growth at treatment period gradually at 2% , 4% , 6%
concentrations respectively , maximum response was detecting at 6% , also this concentration was recorded more
best increasing in erythrocytes average in comparative with another concentrations in most of experimental
weeks , in addition to gradually increasing in cells averages at 2% , 4% while platelets averages were recorded
significant decreasing at 5% and in another concentrations. The hemoglobin concentration has been recorded the
highest averages at 4% & 6% in all treatment period in addition to significant easing in 2% group in
comparative to first group starting at third weeks to last week from the treatment period

The study was conducted to explore the biological activity of water and alcoholic extracts of N.oleander L:
leaves (Fresh & dry)against the growth of some plant pathogenic fungi namely; Alternaria alternata,
Macrophomina phaseolina & fusarium oxysporum In general the inhibition effects of water extracts varied
between(6.7-81.3)% while the alcoholic extracts achieved different percentage and the inhibition effects varied
between (33.3 & 93.3)% in both fresh and dry leaves . For comparison purposes Captan was used at different
concentrations and achieved 100% inhibition at (0.8,1 & 2 mg\ml). Chemical analysis of Nerium oleander L.
leaves proved the presence of alkaloids , flavenoids ,resins phenols, tanins,saponis & glycosides

Most of the previous investigations have been done on the taxa of the Cruciferae focused on morphological and
anatomical sides of seeds and Pollen-grains as wall as on chemical data. The present study illustrated the
importance of Indumentum and crystals characters of 12 species(10 genera) of the tribe Brassiceae (family
Cruciferae ) in Iraq. These species are :
Cakile arabica vel. et Bornm Carrichtera annua (L.) Dc.; Diplotaxis acris (Fossk.) Boiss. ;
D. erucoides (L.)Dc. ;D. harra (Fossk) Boiss ; Eruca sativa Mill. ; Erucaria cakiloidea (Dc.)o. E. Schulz ;
Hirschfeldia incana (L.)Lag. ;Raphanus sativus L. ;Rapistrum rugosum (L.) All. ;Savignya parviflora (Del.)
Webb. ;Sinapis arvensis L.
The investigation includes Shapes , types and distribution of the trichomes and crystals in all parts of whole
plant examined Special characters are reported for the first times of the trichomes such types of bases wallthickness and surface features also illustrated the immersion of the trichomes base among the epidermal cells.
Four principal categories of calcium oxalate crystals were recognised : Stellate (druses) ;Prismatic , Sand crystals
and single needles (Raphides). As well as the study comprises the stomata and epidermal cells of stems , Leaves
(Upper& lower surface) and midribs.
The study focused on shapes , size , stomata complex types and stomatal- index .Trichomes and stomata has
agreat diagnostic valus in species studies

Aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Red tea flowers have been exploited as Acid-Base indicator.Three pigments
were separated and identified including querecetin ,anthocyanin and gossyptein The potentiometric titration of
the extracts have revealed sudden change in potential and pH at equivalence point. This titration have offered
total acid percentage of more than 28% indicating the presence of Organic acids: Malic, Tartaric, Oxalic,
Ascorbic and Citric acids in addition to the above three pigments which were identified by UV,Visible and IR
spectroscopy. Therefore, Red tea extract has been confirmed in this reserch being used successfully as acid -
base indicator .Its colour is changed at equivalence point from red ,violet or pink into green at which its action is
matching methyl red and phenol red indicators. There were no effects of temperature and aging on the stability
of the extract as indicator when identified by UV,V is ible and IR spectroscopy after six months

This research include preparing some of new mononuclear complexes for some transition metal
Co(ll),Ni(ll),Cu(ll) and Zn(ll) through the reaction of the salt in these elements with ligand bis (N,N-diethyl
phenyl butyl dithiocarbamate). The ligand prepared by the reaction of p-Amino N,N-diethyl phenyl
dithiocarbamate with 1,4,dibromo butane . which resulted in the formation of the following complexes
[M(Et2S2R)2Cl2] .Then these complexes were reacted with monodentate Lewis base (4-Picolin) and neutral
bidentate Lewis base (ethylene diamine ) .The result of this reaction gave the complexes [M(Et2S2R)2Cl2L''2] ,
[M(Et2S2R)2Cl2L']

All the prepared complexes have been characterized by element analysis ,molar conductance ,magnetic

The current study concerned with effect amount of alcohol consumption on human by determing the level of
(Cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoproteins, low density lipoproteins, very low density lipoproteins,
Glutathion level and malonadehyde) in serum the study include (50)fifenty specimens were divided according to
daily consumption to less than (500ml) / day . and more than (500ml) / day . and (20)specimens as a control .
The result Showed presence of significant increase Cholesterol level, Triglycerides, low density lipoproteins
and very low density lipoproteins Cholesterol and the results showed presence non significant increase high
density lipoprotein and malonadehyde levels and showed non significant low with glotathion levels in serum
increase of alcohol amoumt in comparsion with controlpassion with control

Benzoic acid hydrazide, 4 – hydroxybenzoic acid hydrazide, and isozon, have been reacted with aromatic
aldehyds ( 3 – chlorobenzaldehyde, 4 – nitrobenzaldehyde, benzaldehyde, and furferal, 4 – N, N –
dimethylbenzaldehyde, 4 – aminobenzaldehyde ) to prepare a new hydrazon compounds ( 1 – 10 ), which have
been reacted with phthalic anhydride by Microwave technique, through cycloaddition reaction by the concerted
mechanism, to obtained the new ( 1, 3 – Oxazepine ) compounds ( 11 – 20 ).
The Microwave technique used to get a green chemistry and short time through any reaction completed by some
minutes while this reaction contained some hours in conventional method, Microwave method economic in
chemical materials and place and approaches.
The prepared hydrazon compounds were identified by melting point and FT. I.R. and the new (1, 3 – Oxazepine)
compounds (11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19) were identified by (1H – NMR, 13C – NMR) was used to support the structure
of this compounds and the results are in a good agreement with the proposed structures assigned of the
synthesized compounds which can be used anti bacterial and anti fungus, so it used as presynaptic reuptake and
anti cancer disease

This study includes method for determination Hyoscine Butylbromide (HB) in its pure form and in the
Pharmaceutical Preparation (Spasmosam) . Amembrane selective electrode was made ; its liquid membrane
contains the standard material (HB) with Phospho Molybdic acid (PMA) as an active materials and using
Tributyl phosphate (TBP), Acetophenone (ACP) as a plasticizers , The results show that the electrode was made
HB-PMA with TBP as a plasticizer was better than use ACP as a plasticizer and the slope for the electrode was
made with TBP as a plasticizer gave Nernest`s slope near by the theoretical value for charge monadic ion was
equal to 59.15 mv/decade , the correlation coefficient was near to unity , the recovery value and relation standard
deviation was better than use ACP as a plasticizer .

The study included the adsorption of phenol and o, m, p-cresol on activated carbon from their aqueous solution.
The effect of parameters such as contact time, initial concentration and temperature have been investigated. The
results showed that the adsorption efficiency increased sharply with the time in the first five minutes then
gradually decreased and reached to equilibrium within 40-60 minutes for all the considered compounds. The
adsorption efficiency was found to increase with the increase of initial concentration, accompanied by increase
in the adsorption capacity.
The elevation of temperature showed increase in the adsorption efficiency.
Depending on the variation of adsorption efficiency with the temperature, thermodynamic parameters (∆G, ∆H
and ∆S), were estimated.
Two kinetic models were applied on the adsorption data namely; pseudo first and pseudo second order equations.
The results of the kinetic study denoted that, the adsorption data of the studied systems are better fit the second
order kinetic model

The aim of study is to determine the concentration of calcium , phosphoros, uric acid , urea, creatinine ,total
protein and the activity of alkaline phosphatase in the serum of patients suffering from acute renal failure . 50
specimens of each of suffering and control groups were collected. The study showed an increase in creatinine
,urea, uric acid concentration and the activity of alkaline phosphatase in the serum of suffering

The complexes of the four amino acids with some metal salts of Fe(II) ,Ni(II) and Ca(II) were prepared and
identified by spectro photometric methods (IR,UV) and magnetic measurements. Electro-conductivity
measurements were done for these complexes in conductivity water at (310.16K) for each of (Glycine, Histidine,
Argenine and Cystine).The value of (KA) association constant for nickel complexes is higher than iron and
calcium complexes according to the metal ionic radius, while the value of ionic conductivity (λ˚M+2) for calcium
complexes is more than nickel and iron complexes because of the affinity of calcium toward oxygen. The value
of (R) (distance between ions in solution ) is more than Bjerrum constant which show that the complex ions are
separated by solvent molecules (SSIP). The value of( ( is found small and acceptable

In order to obtain an empirical equations to show the effect of nuclear radiation and temperature on light
absorption for different nuclear track detector. We employed the available experimentally measured data from
other works. Least squares best fits were used to obtain empirical equations for light absorption relating to the
flux of the ionization radiation, dose of gamma radiation and temperature. The results indicate a good
consistence between the theoretical calculated values and the experimental results

This research was conducted to Radon Concentration the measurements were carried out for twenty two samples
of soil distributed in many regions (algolan ,almoalmeen, alaskary and nasal streets) from Falluja City in ALAnbar Governorate in addition to other region (alandlos street) as a back ground on the Falluja City which there
was no military operations happened on it.. The radon concentrations in soil samples measured by using alphaemitters registration that emits from Radon (222Rn) in (PM-355) track detector.The concentrations values were
calculated by a comparison with standard samples. The results shows that the radon gas concentrations in algolan
street varies from ( 400.50 - 217.64 Bq/m3
), almoalmeen street (364.45- 300.9 Bq/m3
), alaskary street (346.45-
246.49 Bq/m3
), nasal street (283.17 -205.24 Bq/m3
), and alandlos street (252.76 -212.87 Bq/m3

This research included preparing samples of the compound Bi2-xHgxBa2-ySryCa2Cu3O10+δ by the reaction of the

. The best circumstances to
obtain samples of the mentioned compound holding the superconductivity property at high temperatures, are at
partial substitution for the components Hg, Sr in the compound at different rates to (X,Y) that equals (0.1, 0.2,
0.3, 0.4). The study of the crystal structure test showed that it retained on the tetragonal type, and the critical
temperature steps-up from (132 into 140) at increasing the (X ) values to (0.1, 0.2) rates. While at (X) values
increasing to (0.4, 0.5) rates, the critical temperature waned to (125K) and a change to the crystal structure
occurred. The superficial crystal structure has been tested by Scanning Electron Microscope, to know the
components' rates in the compound and how the annealing temperature and the imposed pressure affect the
compound, as well as knowing the partial substitution effect in the components and specifying the quantitative
and qualitative rates in the compound

In this work CdO films were prepared by chemical bath deposition technique(CBD) where the cadmium nitrat
salt was used as a source of cadmium ions(Cd+2) and Ammonium hydroxide used as a source of hydroxide ions
(OH-2
). The effect of different deposition parameters has been considered in this work, namely, cadmium ion
concentration, temperature of deposition, deposition time, and time of oxidation, on the rate of deposition and
terminal thickness of the prepared films. Oxidation process achieved in air at temperature 673K for different
time of oxidation . The best time of oxidation chosen is (1.30 h) where conversion of cadmium hydroxide film to

In this paper, the potential wind energy for Al-quarah (60Km South Mosul) for the years 2001-2002 have been
computed. Hourly wind speed have been prepared in away to suit the Weibull probability density function.
Weibull parameters k and c have been obtained graphically by using the Least square method. These values have
been used to comply with wind data and Weibull distribution which is commonly used.Two types of wind
turbine have been used for this study; these are Howden HWP-60 and NASA-Plumbrook. The result indicates
that the potential wind energy for Al-quarah is quite enough for simple domestic usage at least for a great part of
the day, or it can be used in irrigation at the agricultural area at which there is no electric power

We prepared pure (PbS) thin films and doped with 1% (Cu) with molarity (0.1M) by chemical spray pyrolysis
technique, and studied the optical properties for pure and doped thin films and the influence of the doping . we
get increasing at all optical constants but decreasing in transmittance

The aim of the present study is to search the origin of basaltic rocks in AL-RASTAN and JARJANAZ region by
the study of its petrographical diversity and chemical composition. Polarized microscope, and X.R.F were
applied. Our data reveal the distribution of three petrographic kinds of basaltic rocks, such as alkaline (olivine,
augetic olivine and plagioclase olivine) basalt – Phenocryst persantage is > 5% (for ol., px., and Pl.). Rocks show
a strict similarity in their chemical composition despite of the local and petrographic variety. These rocks belong
to the sodium -potassic kind of alkaline basaltic rocks, with magnesium (Mg) percentage varies from 15-39% in
AL-RASTAN and 10-45%, in JARJANAZ respectively with Fe-Mg lava development. The absence of volcanic
cones indicates the continuity of basaltic plateau in E, N E directions of Perchin-Chin, with the possibility of
local volcanism.

The study area lies in the northern part of Iraq with 45 km distance to the south-west of Mosul city on the right
bank of Tigris River at Mishraq sulphur mine. In the present study, resistivity logs of long normal array (64"N)
for (41) wells were analyzed and true resistivity values were computed for (792) rock units covering the confined
aquifer of the lower part of Fat'ha formation. The aquifer was divided to three water bearing horizons (WBH)
underlying the dynamic water level.
Geoloelectrical parameters of the three (WBH) were plotted as maps of isopach, longitudinal conductance,
transverse resistance, longitudinal (bulk) resistivity, transverse resistivity, average resistivity, electrical
conductivity, coefficient of anisotropy, and bulk transverse resistance. Those maps enhanced three important
issues, first one is not obvious relation between the structural features (anticlines and faults) and thickness
variations of the three (WBH).
The second one is the decreasing of bulk, transverse and average resistivity and the increasing of longitudinal
conductance and electrical conductivity of (WBH) at the northeast & southwest parts of the main axis of Mishraq
anticline and also at middle fault region near the river.
The third is a comparison between the second and third maps of (WBH) of coefficient anisotropy has indicated
obviously the pseudo isotropic (1.09) at the middle fault region. This phenomena reflects the similarity of the
transverse and longitudinal resistivities which are also characterized with very low values displaying a secondary
porosity with high water movements in this region. The latest conclusion has important implications in the
hydrogeological situation

The research includes petrographic and mineralogical study of the stratigraphic sequences between Gercus and
Pila Spi Formations within Baikhair anticline in Dohuk district, northern Iraq, which composes of alternations of
carbonate and sandstone rocks, using polarizes microscope and thin sections that treated with alizarine red
pigment. Point counting is also accomplished, in addition to separation of insoluble residue of heavy minerals for
some samples of the carbonate rocks. The carbonate rocks compose of micrite (micro-micrite and micro-spar)
and grains of each of skeletal one (alveolinide, meleolide, rotalide, globigerina, ostracoda, carbonate algae, and
organic clastics) and non-skeletal grains (pellets and extra- and intraclastics). The sandstone rocks of the
stratigraphic sequences between Gercus and Pila Spi Formations are composed of quartz, feldspar, organic
clstics, and cement, in addition to other constituents. These rocks are carbonate lithic arenites. The main mineral
constituting the carbonate rocks in the studied sequences is calcite, with less abundant dolomite and insoluble
residue minerals (clay minerals, quartz and chert)

The current research have been used the satellite images which have been taken for the study area between 27
February- 16March 2005, provided by an American satellite named Aqua US (MODIS). These images have been
analyzed by using Integrated Software Multispectral Image Classification Ver. 1.0 (ISMIC), to analyzed and
identified the wetland and flood area(landuse classification) by using Supervised Classification method. The
studied area classified into five classes and the main area of each of them where calculated for the two different
periods, as well as the soft ware (Image J 1.38x) have been used in the spectral analysis of the classified images
to produce water change maps. The results indicated that the area of green vegetation and the flooded water
areas showed a wide variation during the period of (19) days of the study area, revealed that an increasing in the
the area of land covered by flooded water by (2672) sq km on February 27, 2005 to (3179)sq km on March 16,
2005, An increase of (507) sq km.

Abstract
This Research dealt with the possibility of exploiting magnesium hydroxide [Mg(OH)2
] which extracted from
sea water for preparation magnesia refractory bricks .This kind of bricks are utilized in lining of high
temperature furnace, and for refractory application because of their a very high melting point (1200 C°), It does
not oxidize and it has excellent resistance to attack by iron oxide and alkalis.
Ten samples were used which contain different percentages of magnesium – hydroxide as well as some of dead–
burned magnesia and magnesia–chrome and other additives. These samples were mechanically compacted under
pressure of (1000) Kg/cm² and then burned up to (1200C°) within schedule-burned of (100C°) for each half an
hour, and delaying time for two hours at the maximum temperature (1200C°).
All samples tested for mechanical, physical, linear variation, porosity and density at Building and Glass
Research Centre, which indicate to the possibility of manufacturing Magnesia Refractory Bricks of low porosity
and high density

with petrography and diagenesis, which leads to recognize the microfacies and compare it with the standards,

In this research certain properties for pareto distribution with two parameters had been proved ,to achieve the
main purpose of research, which is the comparison between Bayes method and classical methods to estimate ,the
shape parameter using simulation Monte – Carlo methods for different methods. The comparison between
standard Bayes estimator and other estimators have been done using MSE (Mean square error) and MAPE
(Mean absolute percentage error) ,assuming different values for sample size and for scale parameter is known.

designs of fixed model, which it does not need to adjust the sum of squares. The procedure dependent upon
generating dummy variables and application them in general linear model (GLM). Also the method tackled the
missing values. The program Minitab v. 13.20 was used.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the steady flow to viscous thin films on solid surface of an incompressible
liquids with no inertia force. Continuity equation and Navier – Stokes equations are used to obtain the equation
which govern this flow this equation have been solved using numerical method and compare the results with
analytical solution.
