Journal of the planner and development

Journal of Planner and Development (JPD) is a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal published by the Urban and Regional Planning Center for Postgraduate Studies, University of Baghdad.

The journal is committed to the wide dissemination of scholarly knowledge and to supporting unrestricted access to research in urban and regional planning, urban design, sustainable development, environmental planning, spatial analysis, geoinformatics, and related fields.

All articles published in JPD are made freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers are not required to pay subscription fees, registration fees, or access charges to read, download, copy, print, search, link to, or use published articles in accordance with the journal’s copyright and licensing terms.

Open Access Statement

JPD provides immediate open access to its published content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and enhances the visibility, accessibility, and impact of scholarly work.

The journal does not apply subscription barriers to its published articles. All published articles are accessible through the journal’s official website and may be read and downloaded without charge.

Article Processing Charges and Open Access

JPD may apply article processing or publication fees according to its published Article Processing Charges (APC) and Publication Fees Policy.

These fees support editorial processing, online publication, journal platform maintenance, archiving, and open access dissemination.

Publication fees are requested only after final acceptance of the manuscript.

Payment of publication fees does not influence editorial screening, peer review, editorial decisions, reviewer recommendations, or acceptance outcomes.
