Abstract

Abstract:
This study aims to conduct a comparative cartographic analysis of Iraq’s population distribution by comparing traditional population estimation methods with Geo-Artificial Intelligence (Geo-AI) techniques for the period 2015–2030. The research utilized population data from the Central Statistical Organization of Iraq and the World Pop database in raster format within the Google Earth Engine platform for the years 2015–2024 to assess the spatio-temporal accuracy between the two sources. Population distribution for the years 2025–2030 was then predicted using population databases from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and a linear regression model, while applying machine learning techniques to explore relationships between population density and several geographic variables such as land cover, road networks, elevation, and distance from urban centers.
The accuracy of both approaches was evaluated using statistical indicators including numerical difference, relative difference, mean absolute error (MAE), and correlation coefficient (r). The study employed the Dasymetric Mapping technique to redistribute population data at a pixel resolution of 100×100 meters, achieving a more realistic spatial representation. The results revealed that the World Pop estimates exhibit higher spatial accuracy compared to the official census data, while the predictive modeling indicated a continuing population growth trend with noticeable concentration in the central and southern governorates. The study highlights the importance of integrating Geo-AI techniques with statistical models to enhance the quality of population analysis and support sustainable spatial planning in Iraq.

تهدف الدراسة إلى تحليل خرائطي مقارن لتوزيع سكان العراق من خلال مقارنة الطرائق التقليدية في التقدير السكاني مع تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي الجغرافي (Geo-AI) للمدة (2015–2030)، واعتمدت الدراسة على بيانات الجهاز المركزي للإحصاء في العراق وبرنامج (World Pop) بصيغة الصور النقطية (RASTER) ضمن منصة Google Earth Engine للمدة 2015–2024، بهدف قياس مستوى الدقة الزمكانية بين المصدرين، ثم التنبؤ بتوزيع السكان للمدة 2025–2030 باستخدام قواعد بيانات منظمة الأغذية والزراعة (FAO) ومعادلة الانحدار الخطي، مع توظيف أساليب التعلم الآلي التي تستكشف العلاقات بين كثافات السكان ومجموعة من المتغيرات الجغرافية مثل الغطاء الأرضي، وشبكة الطرق، والارتفاع، والمسافة عن المراكز الحضرية، وتم اختبار نتائج الطريقتين باستخدام المؤشرات الاحصائية (الفرق العددي، الفرق النسبي، متوسط الخطأ المطلق، معامل الارتباط) لقياس مدى دقة البيانات ، واعتمدت الدراسة على أسلوب التوزيع المكاني (Dasymetric Mapping) لإعادة توزيع السكان على مستوى البكسل بدقة مكانية مقدارها(100×100) متر، وأظهرت النتائج أن تقديرات (World Pop) تتميز بدقة مكانية مرتفعة مقارنة ببيانات الجهاز المركزي، كما بينت النمذجة المستقبلية اتجاهاً مستمراً في نمو السكان، مع تركز ملحوظ في المحافظات الوسطى والجنوبية، وتؤكد الدراسة أهمية دمج تقنيات Geo-AI مع النماذج الإحصائية لتحسين جودة التحليل السكاني ودعم التخطيط المكاني المستدام في العراق.

Saeed Aqil’s ‘The Butterfly’ is a lyrical poem that has a wonderful style and insinuative images. The poet uses a rich and highly suggestive language to express his ideas and feelings. The poem contains a lot of symbols and poetic denotations, such as the ‘butterfly’, which represents beauty, and the ‘color’ symbols, which represent the poet’s various feelings and emotions. He uses these symbols to depict the feelings of love and to evoke them in the audience.

Abstract

Hüseyin Nihal Atsız was born in Istanbul on January 12, 1905, and is known as an intellectual, writer and poet, who left a profound impact on Turkish culture and literature. After completing his studies at the faculty of Arts at Istanbul University, he worked as a teacher and librarian and wrote many articles and works that were distinguished as nationalist. Atsiz, who died in Istanbul on December 12, 1975, is remembered as an influential personality in Turkish literature for his ideas and works, and is buried in the Karaca Ahmad Cemetery in Istanbul. The collection “The End of the Roads” is one of the rare works that featured an era in Turkish literature, as it collective ideas and art. In this book, Hüseyin Nihal Atsız is shown not only as a poet but also as an ideological theorist. The poems in the work do not show an individual romanticism, but rather a collective ideal, which is the eternal struggle of the Turkish nation for survival. Therefore, this work is an indispensable reading, not only for students of literature, but for everyone concerned in history and national identity. This study examines the frequency and forms of consonant thinning (consonant change) in the verses of Hüseyin Nihal Atsız poetry collection “The End of the Roads” contribution to the poetic language. Consonant thinning is a distinguished phonetic phenomenon in the Turkish language, characterized by the thinning of hard consonants at the end of words when suffixes are added to them. The study at first briefly explains the author’s linguistic approach, his poetic style, and the linguistic characteristics of the period, and then analyzes the results based on examples from the work. The study exposes that thinning usually occurs with suffixes in the roots of nouns and verbs, in addition to classic Turkish examples such as: Tree and my heart. Some of the differences used in the poem were deliberately chosen because Atsız preferred a simple and natural Turkish style in his singing, highlighting patriotic feelings. The rules of softening were applied to a large scope as in the classical language. However, it was observed that while some verses were supplemented to achieve harmony, these rules were relaxed and poetic meter was prominent. The data obtained in the study reveal that consonant thinning is not used only as a grammatical rule, but also as a tool to support poetic harmony. In this sequence, thinning performs functions such as maintaining rhythm, ensuring vocal harmony, and smoothing the flow of meaning. In conclusion, the examples in “The End of the Roads” show that the writer presents simplicity in language, but he also deliberately violated the rules when necessary for technical reasons.

وُلد حسين نهال آتسيز في إسطنبول في ١٢ يناير ١٩٠٥، واشتهر كمفكر وكاتب وشاعر ترك أثرًا عميقًا على الثقافة التركية والأدب. بعد إتمام دراسته في كلية الآداب بجامعة إسطنبول، عمل مدرسًا وأمين مكتبة، وكتب العديد من المقالات والأعمال التي تميزت بأفكاره القومية. تُذكر أتسيز، التي توفيت في إسطنبول في ١٢ ديسمبر ١٩٧٥، كشخصية مؤثرة في الأدب التركي لأفكارها وأعمالها. دُفن في مقبرة كاراجا أحمد بإسطنبول.
تُعدّ ديوان "نهاية الطرق" من الأعمال النادرة التي ميّزت حقبة في الأدب التركي، حيث مزجت بين الأفكار والفن. في هذا الكتاب، لا يظهر حسين نهال أتسيز شاعرًا فحسب، بل أيضًا كمنظّر أيديولوجي. لا تُعبّر قصائد العمل عن رومانسية فردية، بل عن مثال جماعي، وهو صراع الأمة التركية الأبدي من أجل البقاء. لذلك، يُعدّ هذا العمل قراءةً لا غنى عنها، ليس فقط لطلاب الأدب، بل لكلّ مهتمّ بالتاريخ والهوية الوطنية.
تبحث هذه الدراسة في تواتر وأشكال ترقيق الحروف الصامتة (تغيير الحروف الساكنة) في أبيات ديوان حسين نهال آتسيز الشعري "يولارين سونو" (نهاية الطرق)، ومساهمته في اللغة الشعرية. يُعدّ ترقيق الحروف الصامتة ظاهرةً صوتيةً بارزةً في اللغة التركية، تتّسم بترقيق الحروف الصامتة القاسية في نهاية الكلمات عند إضافة لواحق إليها. تشرح الدراسة، في البداية، بإيجاز النهج اللغوي للمؤلف، وأسلوبه الشعري، والخصائص اللغوية لتلك الفترة، ثمّ تُحلّل النتائج بناءً على أمثلة من العمل.

Poetic Notification at the Beginnings of Poems and Satirical Pieces by Hassan ibn Thabit Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)

Abstract

Ḥassan bin Thabit consistently sought to develop his poetic techniques in defense of the Islamic call, among which was poetic communication. This stylistic feature is almost unique to Ḥassan, given the frequency and extent of its use in his poetry, an indication that he adopted it as a method in poetic construction in general and in satire in particular. This study aims to explore the depths of this concept, tracing its occurrences in the openings of poems and poetic fragments, and revealing its meanings within their respective contexts. The research also observes the dimensions of the term as employed by other poets, yet takes Ḥassan bin Thabit as the principal model for examining the phenomenon. The study proceeds from several hypotheses, the most significant of which are: What prompted Ḥassan to employ this technique in his poetic texts? And what is the extent of poetic communication in his poems and fragments? All of this is analyzed through the inductive method, as one of the scientific approaches that enables the researcher to derive general principles and reach meanings that closely approximate the intended sense. The research arrives at several conclusions, the most important being that poetic communication, by its function, is divided into two types: personal and collective. Its artistic use serves to liberate the poem from the constraints of traditional structure, allowing it to enter directly into the core of its purpose, one felt and perceived by the addressee. Thus, poetic communication becomes the forefront of poems and fragments, representing both an opportunity for swift response to opponents and a unifying element of theme. It builds upon what has already been said rather than initiating anew, engaging in deconstruction and reconstruction according to the poet’s intended vision.

دأب حسان بن ثابت إلى تطوير أساليبه الشعرية في دفاعه عن الدعوة الإسلامية ومنها الإبلاغ الشعري ، ولمَّا كان هذا الأسلوب يكاد ينفرد به حسان عن غيره من شعراء الدعوة الإسلامية بهذا الكم والكثرة ما يدل على اعتمادها منهجا في البناء الشعري عامة والهجاء خاصة .
يهدف بحثنا إلى سبر أغوار المصطلح وتتبعه في مطالع القصائد والمقطوعات وإظهار دلالته أثناء السياق الواردة فيه ، رصد البحث أبعاد المصطلح عند شعراء آخرين إلا أنه اعتمد حسان بن ثابت أنموذجا في دراسة الظاهرة .
وقد انطلق هذا البحث من عدة فرضيات أهمها : ما حاجة حسان إلى استخدام هذا الأسلوب في نصه الشعري؟ وما نصيب الإبلاغ الشعري في القصائد والمقطوعات؟ كل ذلك بالاعتماد على المنهج الاستقرائي بوصفه أحد مناهج البحث العلمي التي ينجح الباحث من خلالها إلى استنتاج أسس عامة تساعده في الوصول إلى الدلالة القريبة من المعنى المراد .
وتوصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: أن الإبلاغ ينقسم بحكم عمله إلى نوعين لا ثالث لهما ، شخصي وجماعي ، وأن استخدامه لغاية فنية بحته يتخلص من خلاله ـــ الإبلاغ ــ من تقليد هيكلية القصيدة ليدخل إلى صلب الغرض ، يحس به ويلتمسه المعني بالقول ، فيجعل الإبلاغ غرة القصائد والمقطوعات، والتي تمثل فرصة في سرعة الرد على الخصوم ، ووحدة للموضوع ، وأن يأسس على ما قد قيل ، لا أن ينشأ أولا ، فيعمد إلى الهدم والبناء وفقا لرؤيته التي أرادها .

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of human factors on the spread of respiratory diseases in Samarra District by examining a set of variables related to human behavior and the living environment. The study focuses on the role of health behaviors, community awareness levels, living conditions, and population density in influencing infection rates. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, relying on official governmental data as well as a review of local health records to obtain an accurate picture of the health situation in the study area. The results show a clear relationship between the deterioration of certain human factors and the increase in respiratory diseases. It was found that weak adherence to preventive measures, low health awareness, poor ventilation in housing, and population overcrowding are key factors contributing to the spread of these diseases. The study also reveals spatial variation in infection rates within the district, reflecting differences in environmental and living conditions across its areas. The study recommends strengthening health awareness programs, improving housing infrastructure and services, and adopting integrated preventive policies to reduce the spread of respiratory diseases and improve the overall health status of the population.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل أثر العوامل البشرية في انتشار الأمراض التنفسية في قضاء سامراء، من خلال دراسة مجموعة من المتغيرات المرتبطة بالسلوك الإنساني والبيئة السكنية. ركزت الدراسة على دور السلوكيات الصحية، ومستوى الوعي المجتمعي، والظروف المعيشية، والكثافة السكانية في التأثير على معدلات الإصابة. واعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، مستندًا إلى البيانات الحكومية الرسمية، فضلًا عن مراجعة السجلات الصحية المحلية، بهدف الوصول إلى صورة دقيقة للواقع الصحي في منطقة الدراسة اذ أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة واضحة بين تدهور بعض العوامل البشرية وارتفاع معدلات الأمراض التنفسية، حيث تبين أن ضعف الالتزام بالإجراءات الوقائية، وانخفاض مستوى الوعي الصحي، وسوء التهوية داخل المساكن، إلى جانب الازدحام السكاني، تمثل عوامل رئيسة في زيادة انتشار هذه الأمراض. كما كشفت الدراسة عن تفاوت مكاني في نسب الإصابة داخل القضاء، يعكس اختلاف الظروف البيئية والمعيشية بين مناطقه. وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة تعزيز برامج التوعية الصحية، وتحسين مستوى الخدمات والبنية التحتية السكنية، فضلًا عن تبني سياسات وقائية متكاملة تسهم في الحد من انتشار الأمراض التنفسية وتحسين الوضع الصحي للسكان.

Faith and Its Impact on Developing a Sense of Responsibility in the Muslim Individual

Abstract

This study examines the impact of faith (īmān) on cultivating a sense of responsibility among Muslim individuals. In the Islamic perspective, faith is not a mere mental construct; it is a living creed that energizes believers toward work, productivity, and discipline, while instilling a constant awareness of duty and accountability. Despite the prevalence of outward religiosity in contemporary contexts, some adherents display shortcomings in fulfilling obligations or weaknesses in meeting professional and social duties—an attitude that negatively affects public perceptions of Muslims, who ought to be foremost in commitment and fidelity.
The paper aims to demonstrate the central role of faith in shaping responsible conduct and to explain the mechanisms through which it strengthens self-regulation, contract fulfillment, and professional and social performance. The study concludes with a call to institutionalize the linkage between faith and responsible behavior within curricula and educational programs. It also emphasizes that responsibility in Islamic law operates at multiple levels—from the individual’s duty to oneself to responsibilities toward family, society, the ummah, and humanity—and that activating this linkage can enhance quality of life and foster social trust.

يتناول هذا البحث أثر الإيمان في تنمية الشعور بالمسؤولية لدى الفرد المسلم. فالإيمان في المنظور الإسلامي ليس فكرة ذهنية مجرّدة، بل عقيدة حيّة تُحرِّك في نفس المسلم دوافعَ العمل والإنتاج والانضباط، وتغرس فيه استحضار التكليف والجزاء. ومع أنّ مظاهر التديّن انتشرت في الواقع المعاصر، إلا أنّنا نلحظ لدى بعض المتديّنين قصوراً في الاضطلاع بالواجبات أو ضعفاً في الوفاء بالمهام الوظيفية والمجتمعية، بما ينعكس سلباً على صورة المسلم الذي ينبغي أن يكون أسبق الناس التزاماً وأوفاهم عهداً.
يهدف البحث إلى إبراز مركزية الإيمان في تشكيل السلوك المسؤول، وبيان آليّات تأثيره في تقوية الضبط الذاتي والوفاء بالعقود وتحسين الأداء المهني والاجتماعي. وقد خلصتُ إلى ضرورة تعليم الربط المنهجي بين الإيمان والسلوك المسؤول في المناهج والبرامج التربوية، مع التأكيد على أنّ المسؤولية في الشريعة الإسلامية متعدّدة المستويات—تبدأ بمسؤولية الفرد عن نفسه وتنتهي بمسؤوليته تجاه أسرته ومجتمعه وأمّته والإنسانية جمعاء—وأنّ تفعيل هذا الربط يُسهم في ترقية جودة الحياة وبناء الثقة الاجتماعية.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the nuances of the terms "delicacy" (Al-Riqqa) and "kindness" (Al-Lutf) in the poetry of Nusayb ibn Rabah, exploring their stylistic and contextual employment within his body of work. Despite living in a semi-bedouin environment that strictly adhered to ancestral tribal legacies dating back to the Pre-Islamic era, and notwithstanding the social prejudices associated with his skin color at the time, the poet’s creative output remained remarkably unhindered.
A striking feature of his poetry is the pervasive presence of these two concepts and their thematic implications. Abstract

This research aims to identify the nature of the public image presented by Iraqi newspaper websites of government institutions, using Al-Sabah newspaper's website as a case study. The research employed content analysis as the most suitable methodology for studying media content. A sample of articles published in Al-Sabah newspaper between January 1, 2024, and April 1, 2024, was analyzed to determine the public image of government institutions. The research findings revealed the following:
1. The Al-Sabah website focuses heavily on highlighting government achievements, reflecting a media approach supportive of government institutions.
2. A positive public image prevails in the media coverage, indicating a clear tendency to enhance trust in government institutions.
3. The newspaper emphasizes positive attributes such as efficiency and service, while minimizing the highlighting of negative attributes, resulting in a relatively unbalanced image.
4. The news-oriented style dominates the coverage, indicating a weak reliance on analytical and critical reporting.
5. The website relies heavily on official sources, leading to bias in the presentation of information. 6. It appears that media influence is not achieved solely through the content of the message, but also through the repetition of its presentation methods within the journalistic material.
6. Repetition within the text (headline, body, quotes) contributes to cumulatively enhancing a positive public image.

Abstract
The phenomenon of begging is a social issue that appeared in many historical eras, including the Abbasid period, where it was influenced by social, economic, and political changes. In this era, begging emerged as one of the social problems faced by the poor and the needy, due to widespread unemployment and severe poverty affecting many segments of Abbasid society. Several factors contributed to the increase in the number of beggars, such as the spread of wars, epidemics, and the corruption of some officials, which exacerbated the suffering of the poor. Begging in the Abbasid period was not limited to the poor, but also affected certain marginalized or oppressed groups in society. The form of begging varied from region to region, with some beggars openly asking for alms in the streets, while others relied on different methods, such as begging in mosques and religious shrines. On the other hand, the Abbasid state made efforts to improve the conditions of the poor by providing charity and donations. Institutions such as "Bayt al-Mal" were established to collect and distribute money to those in need. Despite these efforts, begging remained a persistent phenomenon in Abbasid society, reflecting the economic and social challenges faced by the state and its citizens at that time.

تعد ظاهرة التسول من الظواهر الاجتماعية التي ظهرت في العديد من العصور التاريخية، ومنها العصر العباسي، حيث تأثرت بتغيرات اجتماعية واقتصادية وسياسية. في هذا العصر، برز التسول كأحد المشكلات الاجتماعية التي يعاني منها الفقراء والمحتاجون، نتيجة للبطالة والفقر الشديد الذي عمّ الكثير من شرائح المجتمع العباسي. كانت العديد من العوامل تساهم في زيادة أعداد المتسولين، مثل تفشي الحروب والأوبئة، وكذلك فساد بعض المسؤولين، مما أدى إلى تفاقم معاناة الفقراء، لم يكن التسول في العصر العباسي مقتصرًا على الفقراء فقط، بل شمل أيضًا بعض فئات المجتمع التي تعرضت للظلم أو التهميش. قد يختلف شكل التسول من منطقة إلى أخرى، حيث كان البعض يتسول بشكل علني في الشوارع، بينما كان آخرون يعتمدون على أساليب أخرى مثل التسول في المساجد والمقامات الدينية، ومن جهة أخرى، كانت الدولة العباسية تبذل جهودًا لتحسين أوضاع الفقراء من خلال تقديم الصدقات والتبرعات. كما تم إنشاء بعض المؤسسات الخيرية مثل "بيت المال" التي كانت تهدف إلى جمع وتوزيع المال على المحتاجين. لكن، ورغم هذه الجهود، بقي التسول ظاهرة مستمرة في المجتمع العباسي، مما يعكس التحديات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية التي كانت تواجهها الدولة والمجتمع في ذلك الوقت.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the "Maqasid al-Sharia" (Objectives of Islamic Law) in guiding and regulating the provisions of maintenance (Nafaqah) and divorce, with a focus on legislative and judicial applications within the Iraqi Personal Status Law. The research problem stems from questioning the effectiveness of these objectives and fundamental principles (Usul) in achieving a fair balance between the rights of spouses and protecting the family from procrastination and arbitrary practices. The study employs an analytical-applied fundamentalist methodology, linking the five essential preservations (Life, Progeny, and Wealth) with contemporary legal texts.
The study concludes that the provisions of maintenance and divorce are not merely formal procedures but are means to achieve vital Sharia goals; maintenance serves as a tool to preserve life from perishability, while divorce is a means to remove harm when marital life becomes untenable. The research demonstrates that the Iraqi legislator has succeeded in transforming these objectives into "procedural guarantees," most notably the "Maintenance Insurance Fund," which prevents vulnerable groups from being harmed by delays, and "Compensation for Arbitrary Divorce," acting as a financial deterrent against unilateral termination of the marital relationship without legitimate justification. تتناول هذه الدراسة دور "مقاصد الشريعة الإسلامية" في توجيه وضبط أحكام النفقة والطلاق، مع تسليط الضوء على التطبيقات التشريعية والقضائية في قانون الأحوال الشخصية العراقي. انطلقت مشكلة البحث من التساؤل حول مدى فاعلية المقاصد والقواعد الأصولية في تحقيق التوازن العادل بين حقوق الزوجين وحماية الأسرة من المماطلة والتعسف. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الأصولي التحليلي التطبيقي، من خلال الربط بين الكليات الخمس (النفس، النسل، المال) وبين النصوص القانونية المعاصرة.

This study examines the dialectical relationship between food and identity as a cultural and social construct that transcends the biological dimension of food consumption. Food is approached as a symbolic practice that contributes to the production and reconfiguration of both individual and collective identities. Adopting an anthropological perspective, the study analyzes the meanings of taste, patterns of consumption, and the table as a space of social interaction in The Andalusian Christ by Tayseer Khalaf. Abstract

This study examines the role of major cities outside Baghdad during the Abbasid era in stimulating economic activity and cultural life within Arab and Islamic history. It focuses on urban centers that coexisted with the Abbasid Caliphate, despite differences in their origins and conditions of establishment. The paper briefly outlines the historical contexts of these cities’ emergence and their urban development, then analyzes their roles in trade, industry, taxation, and in connecting regions through land, river, and maritime routes.
It also highlights their cultural contributions to Arab-Islamic civilization through scholarly institutions, endowments (waqf), markets, and the mobility of scholars and books. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical historical approach, drawing on both classical sources and modern references. It concludes that the multiplicity of urban centers beyond Baghdad strengthened economic networks, intensified cultural exchange, and sustained the long-term influence of these cities.

Abstract

This study examines the most prominent political assassinations in Yemen during the period (1948-1986), a period characterized by numerous political transformations and power struggles in both North and South Yemen. The research aims to shed light on the most significant political assassinations that Yemen witnessed during this time, explaining the political circumstances that led to them. It also studies their impact on the course of political development and the instability that the country experienced. The importance of this topic lies in its reflection of the nature of political conflict within the ruling elites and its revelation of the internal and external factors that contributed to the spread of political violence in Yemeni political life. Furthermore, studying these events helps in understanding the nature of the transformations that the political system in both parts of Yemen under the monarchy and after the establishment of the republican system in North Yemen, as well as under the socialist experiment in South Yemen. The research adopts a historical methodology that traces and analyzes events within their chronological and political contexts, using historical sources related to contemporary Yemen. It also employs historical analysis to demonstrate the relationship between these assassinations and the political conflicts that the country witnessed during that period. The research addresses the most prominent political assassinations in Yemen, beginning with the assassination of Imam Yahya in 1948, which marked the start of a period of political conflict over the system of government, and continuing through the assassination of president Ibrahim al-Hamdi in 1977, one of the most prominent leaders who sought to implement political and administrative reforms in North Yemen, and then the assassination of President Ahmed Hussein al-Ghashmi in 1978. In addition, the research clarified the nature of political conflicts in South Yemen, including the execution of President Salem Rubai Ali in 1978, as well as the conflict within the Yemeni Socialist Party that resulted in the tragic events witnessed in Aden on January 13, 1986. The phenomenon of political assassinations in Yemen was not an isolated incident, but rather the result of several intertwined factors. Among the most important of these were the struggle for power between political and military leaders, the weakness of state institutions, and the influence of regional and international factors that played a role in fueling political competition within Yemen during that period. In light of this, it became clear that political assassinations constituted the most prominent manifestation of political instability in Yemen during the second half of the twentieth century and contributed to changes in the structure of Political power, which directly influenced the course of development of the modern Yemeni state.

تناولت الدراسة أبرز الاغتيالات السياسية في اليمن خلال المدة (1948 – 1986)، وهي مرحلة اتسمت بكثرة التحولات السياسية والصراعات على السلطة في كلٍ من اليمن الشمالي واليمن الجنوبي، ويهدف البحث إلى تسليط الضوء على أهم الاغتيالات السياسية التي شهدتها اليمن خلال تلك المدة، وبيان الظروف السياسية التي أدت إلى وقوعها، فضلاً عن دراسة تأثيرها في مسار التطور السياسي وعدم الاستقرار الذي عرفته البلاد، إذ تبرز أهمية الموضوع كونه يعكس طبيعة الصراع السياسي داخل النخب الحاكمة، ويكشف عن العوامل الداخلية والخارجية التي أسهمت في انتشار ظاهرة العنف السياسي في الحياة السياسية اليمنية، كما ساعدت دراسة هذه الأحداث في فهم طبيعة التحولات التي شهدها النظام السياسي في شطري اليمن، سواء في ظل الحكم الملكي أو بعد قيام النظام الجمهوري في اليمن الشمالي، وكذلك في ظل التجربة الاشتراكية في اليمن الجنوبي، اعتمد البحث على المنهج التاريخي القائم على تتبع الأحداث وتحليلها في سياقها الزمني والسياسي، عبر دراسة المصادر التاريخية الخاصة بتاريخ اليمن المعاصر، كما اعتمد على أسلوب التحليل التاريخي لبيان العلاقة بين هذه الاغتيالات والصراعات السياسية التي شهدتها البلاد في تلك المرحلة، تناول البحث أبرز الاغتيالات السياسية في اليمن، بدءًا من حادثة اغتيال الإمام يحيى عام 1948، والتي مثّلت بداية مرحلة الصراع السياسي حول نظام الحكم، مرورًا باغتيال الرئيس إبراهيم الحمدي عام 1977، والذي كان من أبرز القادة الذين سعوا إلى إحداث إصلاحات سياسية وإدارية في اليمن الشمالي، ثم اغتيال الرئيس أحمد حسين الغشمي عام 1978، في حين أوضح البحث طبيعة الصراعات السياسية في اليمن الجنوبي، ومنها إعدام الرئيس سالم ربيع علي عام 1978، فضلاً عن الصراع داخل الحزب الاشتراكي اليمني الذي نتج عنه أحداث مأساوية شهدتها مدينة عدن في الثالث عشر من كانون الثاني عام 1986، إنّ ظاهرة الاغتيالات السياسية في اليمن لم تكن حوادث فردية معزولة، بل جاءت نتيجة لعدة عوامل متداخلة، من أهمها الصراع على السلطة بين القيادات السياسية والعسكرية، وضعف مؤسسات الدولة، فضلاً عن تأثيرات العوامل الإقليمية والدولية التي كان لها دور في تأجيج التنافس السياسي داخل اليمن خلال تلك المدة، وفي ضوء ذلك تبين أنّ الاغتيالات السياسية شكلت أبرز مظاهر عدم الاستقرار السياسي في اليمن خلال النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين، وأسهمت في إحداث تغييرات في بنية السلطة السياسية، الأمر الذي أثر بشكل مباشر في مسار تطور الدولة اليمنية الحديثة.

يتناول هذا البحث ظاهرة خروج الخبر عن مقتضى الظاهر في كتاب عمدة القاري شرح صحيح البخاري للإمام بدر الدين العيني، بوصفها واحدةً من القضايا الدقيقة في علم المعاني التي تكشف عن الصلة الوثيقة بين صياغة الخبر وحال المخاطَب ومقتضى المقام. وتنبع أهمية هذا الموضوع من أن البلاغيين لم ينظروا إلى الخبر على أنه بنية نحوية أو دلالية جامدة، بل عدّوه أداة تداولية تتشكل بحسب المقام، فتارةً يُلقى الخبر مجرداً من التوكيد حين يكون المخاطَب خالي الذهن، وتارةً يؤكد بمؤكد أو أكثر إذا كان المخاطَب متردداً أو منكراً، وقد يخرج الخبر عن هذا الأصل لاعتبارات بلاغية دقيقة تستدعي تنزيل خالي الذهن منزلة السائل، أو تنزيل غير المنكر منزلة المنكر، أو ترك توكيد الخبر مع كون المخاطَب منكراً؛ لظهور من الأدلة ما يجعل إنكاره غير معتبر.
وقد سعى البحث إلى تتبع هذا المسلك البلاغي عند العيني من خلال نصوصه الصريحة في شرحه لأحاديث صحيح البخاري، مع بيان كيفية استثماره لأدوات علم المعاني في تفسير الدلالة النبوية، والكشف عن الأثر البلاغي للمؤكدات في رسم صورة المتلقي المفترض داخل الخطاب. وانطلق البحث من تأسيس نظري لمفهوم الخبر وأضربه ومؤكداته وصور الخروج عن مقتضى الظاهر كما قررها البلاغيون، ثم انتقل إلى التطبيق في عمدة القاري، فوقف عند المواضع التي صرح فيها العيني بأن الخبر خرج عن مقتضى الظاهر، أو دلّ كلامه دلالة واضحة على ذلك.

Abstract

Poetic language cannot be regarded as a mere variant of standard language, although this does not imply denying the intimate connection between the two.In Amal Dunqul’s poem “Do Not Reconcile”, a distinctive poetic quality emerges that sets him apart from others, namely the principle of “unity in diversity.” His poetic language is shaped through techniques such as syntactic inversion, binary oppositions, ellipsis, among others, all of which serve as manifestations of stylistic deviation within his poem.
This study endeavors to highlight the most salient features of Amal Dunqul’s poetic language in this poem, and to demonstrate its capacity for systematic violation of the rules of standard language. Indeed, the deliberate dismantling of linguistic norms represents the very essence of poetry.

إنّ اللغة الشعرية ليست نوعاً من اللغة المعيارية، وإن كان هذا لا يعني إنكار الارتباط الوثيق بينهما، تتضح في قصيدة (لا تصالح) للشاعر أمل دنقل سمة شعرية واضحة تميزه من غيره، تتجلى في (الوحدة في التنوع)، إذ تتشكل لغته الشعرية بالتقديم والتأخير والثنائيات الضدية والحذف وغيرها، كسمة من سمات الانحراف الأسلوبي في قصيدته.
لقد اجتهد هذا البحث في محاولة عرض أبرز ملامح اللغة الشعرية للشاعر أمل دنقل في قصيدته، وقدرة هذه اللغة على انتهاك قانون اللغة المعيارية، الانتهاك المنتظم، إذ إنّ تحطيم قانون اللغة المعيارية هو الجوهر الحقيقي للشعر.
وقامت دراستنا على مقدمة وأربعة محاور، تناولنا فيها الآليات اللغوية التي شكل فيها الشاعر اللغة الشعرية لقصيدته، المحور الأول: التقديم والتأخير، والمحور الثاني: الثنائيات الضدية، والثالث : آلية الحذف، وأمّا الرابع: تناولنا فيه ظاهرة التكرار التي برزت في القصيدة.

Abstract

This study explores the historical roots of the Soviet presence in the Arabian Peninsula from 1918 to 1928, a formative period marked by fundamental shifts in Russian foreign policy after the Bolshevik Revolution. The nascent Soviet Union pursued a new policy towards the East, founded on opposition to Western imperialism, efforts to win over Muslim populations, and the establishment of alternative trade channels outside colonial networks. This approach was exemplified by the dispatch of consular missions to the Hejaz, most notably the mission led by Karim Hakimov, as well as the early diplomatic recognition of Abdulaziz Al Saud's rule in 1926, making the USSR the first state to recognize him as King of the Hejaz. Soviet activities also extended to Yemen with the signing of a Treaty of Friendship and Commerce in 1928. However, these efforts remained constrained by active British opposition and the relative scarcity of Soviet resources, which were primarily directed toward internal reconstruction. The study concludes that this period laid early diplomatic foundations for Soviet-Arab relations, despite their limited practical outcomes.

تتناول هذه الدراسة الجذور التاريخية للوجود السوفيتي في شبه الجزيرة العربية خلال المدة التاريخية من 1918 إلى 1928، وهي مرحلة تأسيسية شهدت تحولات جوهرية في السياسة الخارجية الروسية عقب الثورة البلشفية. اذ انتهج الاتحاد السوفيتي الناشئ سياسة جديدة تجاه الشرق قائمة على مناهضة الإمبريالية الغربية، واستمالة الشعوب الإسلامية، وفتح قنوات تجارية بديلة عن الشبكات التي تهيمن عليها القوى الاستعمارية، تجلى هذا التوجه في إرسال البعثات القنصلية إلى الحجاز وأبرزها بعثة كريم حكيموف، فضلا عن الاعتراف الدبلوماسي المبكر بحكم عبد العزيز آل سعود في عام 1926 حيث كان الاتحاد السوفيتي أول دولة تعترف به ملكا على الحجاز. كما امتد النشاط السوفيتي ليشمل اليمن من خلال توقيع معاهدة الصداقة والتجارة في عام 1928, غير أن هذه الجهود ظلت مقيدة بالمعارضة البريطانية الفاعلة والشح النسبي في الموارد السوفيتية التي كانت منصبة على إعادة البناء الداخلي. خلصت الدراسة إلى أن هذه المرحلة أرست أسسا دبلوماسية مبكرة للعلاقات السوفيتية العربية على الرغم من محدودية نتائجها العملية.

Abstract

The manufacturing sector lies at the core of the interests of planners and economic policymakers in both developing and developed countries, due to its vital characteristics that strengthen the country’s economic integration, promote development, and establish the foundations of a productive base that contributes to meeting local consumption needs. Moreover, it plays an essential role in employing a large labor force and reducing unemployment. In Kirkuk Governorate in general, and in the study area in particular, the manufacturing industries represent key branches of this important sector, as they include several major industrial fields such as food, metal, paper, packaging, plastic, chemical industries, and leather tanning. Through this study, the percentages of topographic and locational characteristics and their effects on the balanced distribution and spatial function of industries in the study area were identified. In addition, the population structure, the degree of concentration, and the labor force in various industrial crafts were analyzed to determine their impact on topographic linkage and balance in the characteristics of industrial sites. Furthermore, the study identified spatial indicators of the industrial structure in the study area and the significant spatial variation in the distribution of industrial establishments. Industrial indicators and measures — such as relative importance, industrial quantum, and industrial concentration — were also examined to assess the relationship between topography, location, and industrial variables that demonstrate their importance in enhancing industrial and economic functions, thereby reflecting their ability to attract and diversify economic investments and their industrial and functional characteristics.

Abstract

The imagined appeal is a style that contains beautiful secrets and connotations, which the speaker resorts to in order to embody his feelings and thoughts. It can only be understood through seriousness and precision; Because it transcends the boundaries of reality into the unreal in its imitation of abstract and spiritual meanings, nature, and its elements. These are all calls that the poet avoids answering, but he tries to give them voice, so that communicating with them becomes a means of expressing what is going on in his mind. The one being addressed, by its very nature, does not stop at the literal meaning alone, but extends to several meanings that emerge from the context of the speech. Here, the request is not so much for attention as it is intended as a process of self-expression and association. Therefore, in this research, I wanted to investigate this beautiful style in the poetry of Ibn Sana' al-Mulk, considering it a powerful example in artistic and intellectual construction, because it takes poetic expression from apparent meanings to hidden intentions. The research plan included an introduction and two sections. The introduction defined the addressee and the imaginary in language and terminology, followed by a brief overview of Ibn Sana's life. النداء المتخيل اسلوب ينطوي تحته أسرار ودلالات جميلة يلجأ إليها المتكلم ليجسد احاسيسه وأفكاره, فهو لا يدرك إلا بالجد والإحكام؛ لأنه يتجاوز حدود الواقع إلى غير الواقع في محاكاته للمعان المجرّدة والروحيّة و الطبيعة وعناصرها, وهذه كلها نداءات تبتعد عن إجابة الشاعر، لكنه يحاول استنطاقها، حتى يكون التخاطب معها وسيلةً للتعبير عمّا يجول في خاطره, والمنادى بطبيعته لا يتوقف عند المعنى الوضعي فحسب، بل يتجاوز إلى معان عدة تظهر من سياق الكلام, وهنا لا يكون لطلب الإقبال بقدر ما يُقصده بعملية البوح والتداعي الذّاتي, لذلك فقد رغبت في هذا البحث أن أستقصي هذا الأسلوب الجميل في شعر ابن سناء الملك باعتباره شاهداً قوياً في البناء الفني والفكري، لأنه يخرج التعبير الشعري من الدلالات الظاهرة إلى المقصودة الخفية, فقد اشتملت خطة البحث على تمهيدٍ ومبحثين, توقفت في التمهيد على تعريف المنادى والمتخيل في اللغة والاصطلاح, ثم نبذة مختصرة عن حياة ابن سناء, وتناولت في المبحث الأول: نداء المجردات, وقد قسمته إلى قسمين الأول: نداء المعان الوجودية والثاني: نداء المعان الروحيّة أما المبحث الثاني فقد وقفنا على نداء الطبيعة بنوعيها الصامتة والحية, ثم اردف بخاتمة وقائمةٍ للمصادر والمراجع.

Abstract

This research examines literary montage in Osama Mohamed Sadek's novel, *Paths of the Dead*, by analyzing how the author employs narrative fragmentation techniques and connects scenes and events in a way that contributes to plot development and meaning formation. The research aims to reveal the role of montage in enriching the narrative experience, highlighting the psychological and social interactions of the characters, and understanding how the novel manages narrative time and multiple perspectives.
The research employs a textual analysis approach, through a careful reading of the novel, focusing on narrative stages, temporal transitions, and the functions of montage in engaging the reader. The results show that the montage technique in the novel reflects the impact of internal and external conflict on the characters and contributes to highlighting the symbolic aspects of events and setting. It also achieves a narrative rhythm that is sometimes fast-paced and sometimes slow, serving the overall atmosphere of the novel. In conclusion, this research confirms that montage in the novel is not merely a stylistic device, but rather an analytical tool that reflects the depth of the human and social experience the author addresses. It also allows the reader to interpret events from multiple perspectives, thus enhancing understanding of the narrative structure and symbolic dimensions of the novel.

يتناول هذا البحث دراسة المونتاج الأدبي في رواية دروب الموتى للكاتب أسامة محمد صادق، من خلال تحليل كيفية استخدام الكاتب لتقنيات التقطيع السردي وربط المشاهد والأحداث بطريقة تُسهم في بناء الحبكة وتشكيل الدلالة. يهدف البحث إلى الكشف عن دور المونتاج في إثراء التجربة السردية، وإبراز التفاعلات النفسية والاجتماعية للشخصيات، بالإضافة إلى فهم كيفية إدارة الرواية للزمن السردي وتعدد المنظورات.
يعتمد البحث على المنهج التحليلي النصي، من خلال قراءة متأنية للرواية، مع التركيز على مراحل السرد، الانتقالات الزمنية، ووظائف المونتاج في تشويق القارئ. وقد أظهرت النتائج أن أسلوب المونتاج في الرواية يعكس تأثير الصراع الداخلي والخارجي على الشخصيات، ويساهم في إبراز الجانب الرمزي للأحداث والمكان، كما يحقق إيقاعًا سرديًا متسارعًا أحيانًا وبطيئًا أحيانًا أخرى بما يخدم الجو العام للرواية.
في الختام، يؤكد البحث أن المونتاج في الرواية ليس مجرد أسلوب شكلي، بل أداة تحليلية تعكس عمق التجربة الإنسانية والاجتماعية التي يتناولها الكاتب، كما يتيح للقارئ قراءة الأحداث من زوايا متعددة، مما يعزز من فهم البنية السردية والأبعاد الرمزية للرواية.

The “Living Text”: Rain Song by Badr Shakir al-Sayyab as a Model

Abstract

The study examines the concept of the “living text” in Badr Shakir al-Sayyab’s poem Rain Song from a critical perspective that re-reads the text through diverse critical approaches, including the historical, semiotic, deconstructive, and cultural methods. The historical reading begins by linking the poetic images to the historical reality of Iraq, where rain and harvest become testimonies to a distressed reality. The semiotic reading reveals that the sign functions within a network of meanings that can only be understood through their interrelations. The images of the locusts, crows, and the child thus perform symbolic roles that transcend their immediate referential meanings. The deconstructive approach exposes the collapse of traditional binaries: rain no longer leads to fertility, and harvest no longer results in satiation. Here, the conventional link between cause and effect is dismantled. As for cultural criticism, it uncovers the presence of authority and the implicit cultural system underlying the poem’s conceptual structure. Repetition and circular structure further deepen the sense of futility. Accordingly, it becomes clear that with each reading, the text rediscovers itself and is reborn anew. In this sense, the text remains within the circularity of life, and it is “alive” through the multiplicity of renewed meanings

تعالج الدراسة مفهوم "النص الحي " لقصيدة السياب أنشودة المطر من منطلق رؤية نقدية تعيد قراءة النص وفق آليات نقدية متنوعة مثل المنهج التاريخي والسيميائي و من ثم التفكيكي ومن ثم النقد الثقافي ، تبدأ القراءة التاريخية بربط الصور الشعرية بسياق الواقع التاريخي للعراق ، يتحول المطر والحصاد إلى شواهد على واقع متأزم ، ثم تكشف القراءة السيميائية أن العلامة تعمل ضمن شبكة دلالية لا تفهم الا بعلاقاتها المتبادلة ، إذ تفصح عن صورة الجراد والغربان والطفل بأنها تؤدي وظائف رمزية تتجاوز معناها المرجعي الذي يفهم بشكل مباشر ، أما التفكيكية فتفصح عن انهيار الثنائيات التقليدية ، أن المطر لا يؤدي إلى الخصب والحصاد لا يؤدي إلى الشبع ، وهنا ينفصل السبب والنتيجة عن التقليد الذي بني عليه ، أما في ما يخص النقد الثقافي ينكشف حضور السلطة والنسق المضمر خلف البنية التصورية للقصيدة ، كما تفصح أن التكرار والبنية الدائرية يعمقان الاحساس باللاجدوى ، وبهذا تتضح لدينا الرؤية بأن النص وفق كل قراءة يعيد اكتشاف نفسه والتولد من جديد وبذلك فإن النص هنا يبقى على دائرية الحياة وأن النص حي بتعدد حضور معنى جديد.

The Development of the Banking System in the United States The Establishment of the Second Bank, 1814–1819: A Model

Abstract

The research consists of six axes, in which we initially discussed the circumstances of the bank's establishment, the discussions regarding its feasibility, and the objections raised against the proposed founding law and their reasons. After the approval of the bank law, the research studied the bank's regulations, which were very similar to the regulations of the first bank. Then the third axis dealt with William Jones' management of the bank and the operations that took place during his management of the bank, including the resumption of the payment of bullion, which was of great importance to investors, and which the research covered in the fourth axis. The research studied the fraud and speculation operations that took place during Jones' management of the bank and the results that resulted from them, represented by Congress forming an investigative committee to uncover those responsible for the fraud operations that ultimately resulted in the outbreak of the financial crisis in 1819. The bank's director then submitted his resignation, and all of this was addressed in the context of the sixth axis.

تالف البحث من ستة محاور تناولنا فيها في البداية حيثيات تأسيس المصرف والمناقشات التي جرت حوله من حيث جدوى تأسيسه, والاعتراضات التي حصلت ضد مقترح قانون التأسيس واسبابها. وبعد اقرار قانون المصرف درس البحث تنظيمات المصرف التي كانت شبيهة الى حد كبير بتنظيمات المصرف الأول, ثم تناول المحور الثالث ادارة ويليام جونز للمصرف والعمليات التي تمت خلال ادارته للمصرف ومنها استئناف دفع السبائك التي كانت تشكل أهمية كبيرة بالنسبة للمستثمرين والتي غطاها البحث في المحور الرابع. ودرس البحث عمليات الاحتيال والمضاربة التي تمت خلال مدة ادارة جونز للمصرف والنتائج التي تمخضت عنها, والمتمثلة بقيام الكونجرس بتشكيل لجنة تحقيقية لكشف المتسببين بعمليات الاحتيال التي اسفرت في النهاية عن اندلاع الأزمة المالية عام 1819, وقام مدير المصرف بعدها بتقديم استقالته وكل ذلك تمت معالجته في سياق المحور السادس.

The Role of Transport Networks in the Development of Agricultural Activity in Kirkuk Governorate: A Study in Transport Geography

Abstract

Kirkuk is one of Iraq’s most economically and geographically significant regions, characterized by its strategic location and diverse natural resources, particularly its fertile agricultural lands and both surface and groundwater reserves. This study examines the relationship between agricultural activity and transportation networks in the city of Kirkuk and analyzes the impact of transportation on the development of agricultural production and the marketing of agricultural goods in Kirkuk Governorate. A descriptive–analytical methodology was employed, drawing on statistical data as well as maps of land distribution and road networks. The study also investigates the spatial distribution of transportation networks within the study area and classifies them by administrative units. The findings reveal that inadequate transportation infrastructure negatively affects agricultural activity in the region, whereas improvements in transport networks enhance productivity and facilitate crop marketing. The study concludes with recommendations to strengthen integration between the agricultural and transportation sectors to support economic development in Kirkuk Governorate.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة العلاقة بين النشاط الزراعي وشبكات النقل في مدينة كركوك، وتحليل أثر النقل على تطوير الإنتاج النشاط الزراعي وتسويق المنتجات الزارعية في محافظة كركوك ، واعتمد البحث عاى المنهج الوصفي التحليلي ، باستخدام البيانات الإحصائية وخرائط توزيع الأراضي وشبكات الطرق وقد تضمنت الدراسة توزيع شبكات النقل في منطقة الدراسة وتقسيمها حسب الوحدات الادراية و أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن ضعف البنية التحتية للنقل يؤثر سلبًا على النشاط الزراعي في منطقة الدراسة، بينما تحسين شبكات النقل يسهم في زيادة الإنتاجية وتسهيل تسويق المحاصيل ، ويقدم البحث نتائج وتوصيات لتعزيز التكامل بين قطاعي الزراعة والنقل لدعم التنمية الاقتصادية في محافظة كركوك.

يهدف البحث التعرف إلى:
1-المكانة الاجتماعية لدى المرشدين التربويين في مدينة الموصل
2-الفروق في مستوى المكانة الاجتماعية وفق متغير الجنس "ذكور، إناث".
3-الفروقات في مستوى المكانة الاجتماعية وفق متغير مدة خدمة (أقل من6سنوات، أكثر من10سنوات).
تكونت عينات الدراسة من (100) مرشد ومرشدة من مجموع (307) مرشداً ومرشدة، وقد كونت عينة البحث نسبة (30%) من مجتمع البحث وقد تم تنفيذ مقياس البحث (المكانة الاجتماعية) المتكون من (74) فقرة، واستخدم الباحث الحزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية "SPSS" وبرنامج الجداول الإلكترونية Excel على الحاسوب إذ تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام "معامل ارتباط بيرسون واختبار لعينتين مرتبطتين وعينة واحدة". اظهرت النتائج:
1. إن المرشدين والمرشدات لديهم مستوى جيد من المكانة الاجتماعية
2. لا يوجد فرق دال إحصائيا تبعاً لمتغير الجنس (ذكور-أناث)
3. لا يوجد فرق دال إحصائيا تبعا لمتغير مدة الخدمة (أقل من 6سنوات-أكثر من 10 سنوات)

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of substitution (ibdāl) in the orthography of the Uthmānic Muṣḥaf through the work Jamīlat Arbāb al-Marāṣid fī Sharḥ ʿAqīlat Atrāb al-Qaṣāʾid by Imām Burhān al-Dīn al-Jaʿbarī (d. 732 AH), The study views substitution as a phenomenon resulting from the interaction between orthography, recitation, and linguistic principles. It aims to uncover al-Jaʿbarī’s methodological approach to explaining substitution and to identify the foundations upon which he interpreted substitution between letters, particularly through linking orthography with etymology, modes of recitation, Arab dialects, and considerations of pause and Qurʾānic verse endings,The study adopts a descriptive-analytical method based on inductive examination of al-Jaʿbarī’s texts related to substitution, analyzed in light of the views of leading scholars of Qurʾānic orthography, linguistics, and recitation. The findings reveal that substitution in the Muṣḥaf, according to al-Jaʿbarī, is an intentional phenomenon consistent with the fixed Uthmānic orthographic system and does not constitute a deviation from standard spelling. Moreover, al-Jaʿbarī employs an integrative approach that highlights the semantic function and flexibility of the Uthmānic script in accommodating multiple readings.

This research investigates semantic and communicative rendering in Donald Trump’s presidential addresses, applying Peter Newmark’s (reinterpreted) model to selected texts. It analyzes how rendering strategies shape the transfer of ideologies and governmental messages, with attention to Arabic renditions. Results reveal that variations in rendering outcomes stem from variations in culture and language, influencing the way readers respond and interpretation. The research highlights the role of semantic precision and communicative adaptation in reflecting the source text’s intent while ensuring cultural relevance. It recommends that translators adopt a hybrid approach—combining literal accuracy with modulation or adaptation—and develop a deep understanding of sociocultural contexts in both source and target languages to achieve efficient and suitable for the context governmental rendering.

يتناول هذا البحث إشكالية التصيير الدلالي والتصيير التواصلي في خطابات الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، مستندًا إلى نموذج بيتر نيو مارك (بمقاربته المعاد تأويلها) على نصوص مختارة. ويهدف إلى تحليل الكيفية التي تُسهم بها استراتيجيات التصيير في إعادة إنتاج الأيديولوجيات والرسائل الحكومية، مع التركيز على تمثلاتها في الترجمات العربية. وقد كشفت النتائج أنّ التباين في مخرجات التصيير يعود بالأساس إلى اختلافات ثقافية ولسانية، مما ينعكس على آليات التلقي وأنماط التأويل لدى القرّاء. كما يؤكد البحث على الدور المحوري لكلٍّ من الدقة الدلالية والملاءمة التواصلية في تجسيد مقاصد النص الأصلي وضمان انسجامه مع الخصوصيات الثقافية. ويوصي باعتماد مقاربة هجينة تجمع بين الأمانة الحرفية والتكييف/التعديل، مع ضرورة امتلاك المترجم لوعي معمّق بالبنى الاجتماعية والثقافية في كلٍّ من لغتي المصدر والهدف، تحقيقًا لتصيير حكومي ناجز وموائم للسياق التداولي.

Abstract

Studies have addressed cases in which the female inherits more than the male in the inheritance share, as the issue of inheritance is one of the topics of great importance in Islamic jurisprudence, as it addresses the provisions that regulate the distribution of the estate after the death of the testator. According to the Holy Quran, the male is given a share equal to that of two females in many cases, however there are certain circumstances in which the rights of the female are superior to those of the male. However, there are certain circumstances in which the rights of women are superior to the rights of men, which requires the researcher to study these cases within a jurisprudential framework, as this research focuses on analyzing the different cases related to women’s inheritance. Based on the nature of the topic, the research was divided into an introduction and two main sections, each of which included several sub-topics. It concluded with a conclusion that included the most important findings of the study. The research was conducted according to the descriptive method that describes the cases in which the female exceeds the male in inheritance. The research found that there were several cases in which the female inheritance was greater than the male, compared to many cases in which the inheritance was equal to the male.

تناولت الدراسات الحالات التي تزيد فيها الانثى على الذكر في نصيب الميراث ، إذ تعد مسألة الميراث من المواضيع ذات الأهمية البالغة في الفقه الإسلامي، إذ تتناول الأحكام التي تنظّم توزيع التركة بعد وفاة المورّث، وفقًا لما ورد في القرآن الكريم، يُعطى الذكر نصيبًا يعادل حظ الأنثيين في العديد من الحالات، و مع ذلك توجد ظروف معينة تتميز فيها حقوق الأنثى بتفوقها على حقوق الذكر، مما يتطلب من الباحث دراسة تلك الحالات ضمن إطار فقهي ، إذ يركز هذا البحث على وصف الحالات المختلفة المتعلقة بميراث الأنثى ، وبناءً على طبيعة الموضوع، تم تقسيم البحث إلى مقدمة ومبحثين رئيسيين تضمن كل مبحث منهما على عدة مطالب فرعية ، واختتم بخاتمة تضمنت ابرز ما توصلت اليه الدراسة ، وقد جاء البحث وفق للمنهج الوصفي الذي يصف الحالات التي تزيد فيها الانثى على الذكر في الميراث ، وتوصل البحث الى وجود عدة حالات زاد ميراث الانثى على الذكر ، مقابل الكثير من الحالات التي تساوت به في الميراث .

Abstract

The research titled (The End Time of Isha Prayer: A Comparative Jurisprudential Study) is considered one of the most prominent studies addressing the temporal timings of worship. It is concise research in comparative jurisprudence, written as an accessible introduction to understanding the rules and foundations of the Isha prayer time based on the Quran and Sunnah. In this study, the researcher examined the dispute regarding the end of the prayer time and clarified it according to the four schools of jurisprudence. This issue grants the worshiper a degree of flexibility, such that the time does not end strictly at the first third or half of the night according to the majority of scholars. Abstract

The “New Middle East” project emerged in U.S. policy discourse in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, representing a shift in the way the United States and its allies approached the Middle East. Closely associated with the broader strategy of the George W. Bush administration, the project aimed to promote political transformation, economic liberalization, and regional reordering in line with U.S. interests. These policies had notable implications for the Gulf region, as the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council were compelled to navigate external pressures while safeguarding their internal stability. This paper examines the responses of the GCC states—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman—to the “New Middle East” project, highlighting the diversity of their approaches within the context of U.S. policy and regional dynamics.

The Concept of Ottoman Reform in the Thought of Historian Kâtip Çelebi (1609–1657 AD)

Abstract

This study examines the vision of the Ottoman historian Kâtip Çelebi (1609–1657) regarding reform in the Ottoman Empire during the seventeenth century, through an analysis of his reformist ideas in his treatise Dustūr al-ʿAmal li-Iṣlāḥ al-Khalal (The Method of Action for the Reform of Defects). The research aims to highlight the nature of Kâtip Çelebi’s reformist thought, as he was one of the most prominent Ottoman intellectuals who attempted to diagnose the causes of institutional, administrative, and economic decline during this period. The study shows that Kâtip Çelebi linked the decline of the state to several factors, most notably prolonged wars and their resulting financial crises, weak administration, Janissary rebellions, and the expansion of military expenditures, which increased tax pressure on peasants and led to economic decline. He also criticized the arbitrary issuance of laws and emphasized the need to adhere to established Ottoman legal and administrative traditions to maintain state stability.

Abstract

يتناول هذا البحث رؤية المؤرخ العثماني كاتب جلبي (1609–1657م) لمسألة الإصلاح في الدولة العثمانية خلال القرن السابع عشر، من خلال تحليل أفكاره الواردة في رسالته الإصلاحية «دستور العمل لإصلاح الخلل». يهدف البحث إلى إبراز طبيعة الفكر الإصلاحي لدى كاتب جلبي، بوصفه أحد أبرز مفكري الدولة العثمانية الذين سعوا إلى تشخيص أسباب التدهور المؤسسي والإداري والاقتصادي الذي شهدته الدولة في تلك المرحلة. يوضح البحث أن كاتب جلبي ربط تراجع الدولة بعدة عوامل، من أبرزها الحروب الطويلة وما نتج عنها من أزمات مالية، إضافة إلى ضعف الإدارة، وتمرد الانكشارية، وتزايد النفقات العسكرية، وما رافق ذلك من ضغط ضريبي على الفلاحين وتراجع الإنتاج الاقتصادي. كما انتقد إصدار القوانين بصورة غير منضبطة، مؤكداً ضرورة الالتزام بالقوانين والتقاليد الإدارية العثمانية لضمان استقرار الدولة.

Congressional Stance on Iraq's Invasion of Kuwait

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the main reasons that prompted Iraq to invade Kuwait, the key role of the US Congress in the invasion, and the subsequent actions.
The researcher used the historical approach, which systematically and objectively reviews the past during the process of collecting evidence. The research problem was to determine the position of the US Congress on the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, its response, the most prominent decisions it issued, the reasons that prompted the United States to take the decision to intervene militarily, the legal cover Congress provided for this decision, the political dimensions of the war decision, and the strategic motives behind it.
The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which is that Congressional decisions related to the Arabian Gulf are influenced by internal factors such as the lobby, the US administration, and public opinion, and that the US government resorted to various methods to pass the decision to intervene militarily in the invasion of Iraq and Kuwait in 1991. The study recommended examining Arab disputes internally and not outside the Arab world

يهدف البحث الحالي الى معرفة الاسباب الرئيسية التي دفعت العراق الى غزو الكويت و الدور الرئيس للكونغرس الامريكي في غزو الكويت وما تبعه من اجراءات.
وقد استعمل الباحث المنهج التاريخي الذي يسترجع الماضي بطريقة منهجية وموضوعية خلال عملية جمع الأدلة . وقد تمثلت مشكلة البحث في الوقوف على موقف الكونغرس الامريكي من اجتياح العراق للكويت وما هو رد فعله وابرز القرارات التي صدرت عنه والاسباب التي دفعت الولايات المتحدة الى اتخاذ قرار التدخل العسكري واعطاء الكونغرس الغطاء القانوني للولايات المتحدة بهذا القرار والابعاد السياسية التي حملها قرار الحرب في طياته والدوافع التي الاستراتيجية.
وقد توصلت الدراسة الى عدة نتائج اهمها ان قرارات الكونغرس المتعلقة بالخليج العربي تتأثر بالعوامل الداخلية مثل اللوبي والادارة الامريكية والرأي العام، وان السلطة الامريكية لجأت الى اساليب متعددة لغرض تمرير قرار التدخل العسكري لاجتياح العراق والكويت عام 1991 . وقد اوصت الدراسة بحث الخلافات العربية داخليا ولا تخرج عن اطار الوطن العربي.

Abstract

The decade spanning 1863–1874 represented a pivotal period in the development of the Belgian economy, during which the Port of Antwerp played a central role in promoting both trade and industrial growth at the national and international levels. The abolition of tolls on the River Scheldt in 1863 significantly facilitated access to the port for foreign vessels, leading to a marked increase in maritime traffic and a substantial rise in the volume of imported and exported goods. This commercial liberalization positively impacted the real economy by attracting foreign investments, fostering industries linked to maritime trade, and generating new employment opportunities within the shipping, logistics, and port services sectors.

تُعد المدة ما بين عامي (1863 – 1874) مرحلة مفصلية في مسار تطور الاقتصاد البلجيكي، إذ أدى ميناء أنتويرب دوراً محورياً في تعزيز التجارة والنمو الصناعي على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي، فقد أسهم إلغاء الرسوم على نهر الشيلدت عام 1863 في زيادة سهولة الوصول إلى الميناء للسفن الأجنبية، مما أدى إلى ارتفاع ملموس في حركة الملاحة البحرية وزيادة حجم البضائع المستوردة والمصدرة، وقد انعكس هذا الانفتاح التجاري على الاقتصاد الفعلي من خلال جذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية، وتنمية الصناعات المرتبطة بالتجارة البحرية، وخلق فرص عمل جديدة في قطاع الشحن واللوجستيات والخدمات المينائية.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of Iraqi media in building social peace through an applied analysis of the Iraqi Satellite Channel and UTV. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing content analysis of a sample of media programs, in addition to a questionnaire administered to a sample of the Iraqi audience. The study addresses a central problematic concerning the effectiveness of Iraqi satellite channels in promoting the values of coexistence, tolerance, and societal dialogue amid the political and social challenges facing Iraq. The findings reveal that both channels contribute to varying degrees in disseminating the discourse of social peace, while facing challenges related to political and sectarian polarization. The study recommends the necessity of developing media policies that support inclusive national discourse and mitigate hate speech

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن دور وسائل الإعلام العراقية في بناء السلم المجتمعي، من خلال التطبيق على القناة العراقية الفضائية وقناة UTV. تعتمد الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، مستخدمة أداة تحليل المضمون لعينة من البرامج الإعلامية، إضافة إلى استبانة موجهة لعينة من الجمهور العراقي. تنطلق الدراسة من إشكالية محورية حول مدى فاعلية القنوات الفضائية العراقية في تعزيز قيم التعايش والتسامح والحوار المجتمعي في ظل التحديات السياسية والاجتماعية التي يشهدها العراق. أظهرت النتائج أن القناتين تساهمان بدرجات متفاوتة في نشر خطاب السلم المجتمعي، مع وجود تحديات تتعلق بالاستقطاب السياسي والطائفي. توصي الدراسة بضرورة تطوير سياسات إعلامية تدعم الخطاب الوطني الجامع وتحد من خطابات الكراهية.

The Development of Cognitive Reflection Beliefs in Children

Abstract

The current study aims to explore the development of cognitive reflection in children and the effects of age (6, 8, 10, 12 years) and gender (boys, girls), as well as the significance of differences in cognitive reflection among these groups. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach and included a sample of 160 children from elementary schools in Kirkuk during the 2024–2025 academic year. Cognitive reflection was measured using the Cognitive Reflection Test for Children (CRT-D) (Frederick, 2005; Young & Shtulman, 2018), which consists of nine items designed to elicit intuitive responses that can be corrected through reflective and analytical thinking. The results indicated that cognitive reflection begins to emerge noticeably at age 8 and gradually increases with age, with transitional points reflecting the stage-like nature of cognitive development. No significant differences were found between boys and girls. The developmental trajectory of cognitive reflection aligns with Piaget’s theory and the dual-process model of cognition, highlighting the role of cognitive reflection in overcoming intuitive responses and engaging in analytical thinking.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على تطور الانعكاس المعرفي لدى الأطفال وتأثير كل من متغيري العمر (6، 8، 10، 12 سنة (والجنس (ذكور، إناث (عليه، فضلا عن دلالة الفروق في الانعكاس المعرفي بين هذه الفئات. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وشملت عينة مكونة من 160 طفلاً وطالبة من المدارس الابتدائية في محافظة كركوك للعام الدراسي 2024-2025. وتم قياس الانعكاس المعرفي باستخدام اختبار الانعكاس المعرفي للأطفال CRT-D (Frederick, 2005; Young & Shtulman, 2018)، المكوّن من 9 أسئلة تحفّز إجابات حدسية يمكن تصحيحها بالتفكير التأملي والتحليلي. أظهرت النتائج أن الانعكاس المعرفي يبدأ بالظهور بشكل ملحوظ ابتداءً من عمر 8 سنوات، ويرتفع تدريجيًا مع التقدم في العمر، مع وجود نقاط انتقال نوعية تعكس الطابع المرحلي للنمو المعرفي. كما لم تُظهر النتائج فروقًا دالة بين الذكور والإناث، ويتوافق مسار التطور المعرفي مع نظرية بياجيه والنموذج المزدوج للعمليات المعرفية، مؤكدًا دور الانعكاس المعرفي في تجاوز الاستجابات الحدسية والانخراط في التفكير التحليلي.

Applications of Network Map Generalization Using GIS– AL-Sharqat district as a model

Abstract

The study of cartographic generalization of grid maps from satellite imagery relies on their integration into Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and processing through the GIS program and the ArcToolbox suite, specifically using the Spatial Analyst Tools – the Map Algebra toolbox. This toolbox performs automated map generalization based on satellite imagery of the study area (Al-Shirqat). Each tool applies a specific selection of pixels that represent the reflected colors of the Earth’s surface, whether vegetation cover, barren land, or residential buildings. The study and tools revealed changes in pixel count, as three measures were used to determine the map's pixel count. The tabular data for each measure varied according to the number of pixels used in the map. The validity of the information was also verified using Moran’s method. As a result, the features were reduced from 50,098,076 in the source map to 15,842,402 at the same scale of 1:10,000.

تعتمد دراسة التعميم الخرائطي للخرائط الشبكية من المرئيات الفضائية وإدخالها في برنامج نظم المعلومات الجغرافية ومعالجتها في برنامج (gis) و مجموعة أدوات (ArcToolbox) من خلال أداة (Spatial Analyst Tools) – مجموعة أدوات جبر الخرائط التي بدورها تقوم بعملية التعميم الآلي للخرائط معتمدة على المرئيات الفضائية لمنطقة الدراسة. ( الشرقاط ) كل أداة لها انتقاء معين من البكسلات التي تمثل الألوان المعكوسة لسطح الأرض، سواء كان غطاءً خضرياً أو أراضي جرداء أو بناءً سكنياً , اذ تبين من خلال الدراسة والأدوات تغير في عدد البكسلات فقد استخدم (3) مقاييس لتبين عدد بكسلات الخريطة . فكانت بيانات الجدول لكل مقياس قد اختلف تبعا لعدد البكسلات المستخدمة في الخريطة , وايضا يتم اثبات صحة المعلومات المستخدمة بطريقة مورانس ,اذ تم تقليل المعالم من (50098076) في الخريطة المصدرية الى( 15842402) بنفس مقياس الرسم 1:10000 .

The Effectiveness of the Suchman Model in the Development of Metacognitive Thinking Skills among Basic Stage Female Students in the Subject of Science

Abstract

The study aims to identify the effectiveness of the Suchman Model in the development of metacognitive thinking skills among basic stage female students in the subject of science. This was done by testing a set of null hypotheses. The research population consisted of eighth-grade female students in daytime basic schools for girls in the outskirts of Erbil. The research sample included 59 students, who were randomly assigned to two groups: experimental and control, after being equalized on several variables. The experimental group consisted of 30 students, who were taught science using the Suchman model, while the control group included 29 students, who studied the same subject using traditional teaching methods. As for the research tool, the tool was a test prepared by the researcher to measure metacognitive thinking skills, consisting of 35 items distributed across three domains: planning, monitoring, and evaluation. Its validity and reliability were confirmed using Cronbach's alpha, split-half reliability, and discrimination power for the items. Number of items in the final 30.

This research addresses the issue of whether a woman is required to cover her face and hands—one of the jurisprudential matters that has long been a subject of scholarly debate, both in the past and the present.
The study aims to clarify the legal ruling on this matter through a comparative analysis of the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence. It examines the relevant evidence, analyzes it, discusses the scholarly opinions, and weighs them according to established legal and jurisprudential principles.
The study concludes that the disagreement on this issue is valid and recognized, and it should be approached with a spirit of scholarly fairness, avoiding both excessive rigidity and unjustified leniency.

Abstract

Khazanat Al-Ruwayat by al-Qadi Jakan al-Ḥanafī al-Gugarati is a significant jurisprudential source for the study of the Hanafi school, as it contains numerous jurisprudential matters, rare narratives, and organizes jurisprudential matters in a precise, methodical manner. This research aims to study the text from two main perspectives. The first focuses on introducing the author and the book itself, documenting its attribution to the author, clarifying its importance, and concentrating on the extant manuscripts, the methods of their collection, and their arrangement. The second perspective focuses on a methodological analysis of the book's content by studying the textual division and structure of its presentation, the author's methods of citation and weighing of evidence, his use of technical terminology, and his various methods of citation, whether from Qur'anic verses, Prophetic hadiths, poetry, or the narratives and opinions of scholars. Through these two avenues of inquiry, the research seeks to provide an integrated reading of the book that combines the descriptive and documentary dimension with the methodological and analytical dimension. This will present an accurate picture of the status of the author and his work and reveal his method of organizing the scholarly material, thereby enabling an understanding of the role of Khazanat Al-Ruwayat as an encyclopedic jurisprudential source within the Ḥanafī school.

يمثل كتاب خزانة الروايات للقاضي جَكَن الحنفي الكُجراتي أحد المصادر الفقهية الهامة في دراسة المذهب الحنفي، لما يحتويه من مسائل فقهية وغرائب الروايات، وتنظيم المسائل الفقهية بطريقة منهجية دقيقة ويهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة النص من منظورين رئيسين: الأول يهتم بالتعريف بالمؤلف وبالكتاب نفسه، مع توثيق نسبته الى مؤلفه وبيان أهميته، وكذلك التركيز على النسخ الخطية وطرق جمعها وترتيبها.
أما المنظور الثاني فيركز على التحليل المنهجي لمحتوى الكتاب، وذلك من خلال دراسة كيفية تقسيم النص وبنية عرضه، وأساليب المؤلف في النقل والترجيح، واستخدام المصطلحات، وطرق الاستشهاد المختلفة سواء بالآيات القرآنية أو الأحاديث النبوية أو الأشعار، وكذلك بروايات العلماء وآرائهم.
ومن خلال هذين المبحثين، يسعى البحث إلى تقديم قراءة متكاملة للكتاب تجمع بين البعد التعريفي والتوثيقي وبين البعد المنهجي والتحليلي، بحيث يقدّم صورة دقيقة عن مكانة المؤلف وكتابه، ويكشف عن أسلوبه في ترتيب المادة العلمية، بما يتيح فهم دور خزانة الروايات كمصدر فقه موسوعي في المذهب الحنفي.

Abstract

This study examines the nouns governed by prepositions in Surat Adh-Dhariyat through an interpretive and semantic approach, aiming to reveal the role of prepositions in shaping meaning and to clarify the syntactic, rhetorical, and exegetical functions of prepositional structures within the Qur’anic context. The study begins with an overview of Surat Adh-Dhariyat, its major themes, and its doctrinal and educational purposes. It then discusses the concept of prepositions and their principal meanings in Arabic grammar before moving to an applied interpretive analysis of the preposition-governed nouns occurring in the surah. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical method with an exegetical orientation, based on tracing the relevant occurrences, identifying their contextual meanings, and linking grammatical indications with interpretive purposes. The study concludes that the genitive nouns governed by prepositions in Surat Adh-Dhariyat are not merely formal grammatical elements; rather, they play an essential role in highlighting the surah’s objectives, especially those related to the affirmation of creed, the certainty of resurrection and recompense, the manifestation of divine power, the precision of divine governance, the promise made to believers, and the warning addressed to deniers. It also demonstrates that integrating grammar, semantics, and Qur’anic exegesis constitutes a productive scholarly path for understanding the Qur’anic text and uncovering its expressive depth.

يتناول هذا البحث الأسماءَ المجرورةَ بالحرف في سورة الذاريات دراسةً تفسيريةً دلاليةً، بقصد الكشف عن أثر حروف الجر في توجيه المعنى، وبيان ما تضطلع به التراكيب الجارّة والمجرورة من وظائف نحوية وبلاغية وتفسيرية داخل السياق القرآني. وقد انطلقت الدراسة من التعريف بسورة الذاريات، وبيان موضوعاتها الكبرى ومقاصدها العقدية والتربوية، ثم عرضت مفهوم حروف الجر وأهم معانيها عند النحاة، قبل الانتقال إلى التطبيق التفسيري على مواضع الاسم المجرور بالحرف في السورة. واعتمد البحث منهجًا وصفيًا تحليليًا ذا بعد تفسيري، يقوم على تتبع المواضع الواردة، وبيان دلالاتها في ضوء السياق، والربط بين المعنى النحوي والمقصد التفسيري. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن الأسماء المجرورة في سورة الذاريات ليست عناصر تركيبية شكلية، بل تؤدي دورًا فاعلًا في إبراز مقاصد السورة، ولا سيما ما يتصل بتقرير العقيدة، وإثبات البعث والجزاء، والدلالة على القدرة الإلهية، وإحكام التدبير، ووعد المؤمنين، ووعيد المكذبين. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن الربط بين علم النحو والتفسير والدلالة يُعد من المسالك العلمية المثمرة في فهم النص القرآني واستجلاء أبعاده التعبيرية.

Abstract

Road etiquette and the rules of prayer are important topics in Islamic jurisprudence, as they combine high social morals with sublime spiritual worship. Islam views the road not only as a passage for passersby but also as a space in which the rights and safety of individuals must be protected while preserving the moral values established by Islamic law. On the other hand, prayer is considered the pillar of religion, and it is only performed in clean and safe places, which requires the Muslim to know its rulings when the need arises to perform it in the streets. The research examined street etiquette in Islamic law and the rulings on performing prayer in the streets from an Islamic jurisprudential perspective, using a descriptive and analytical approach. The research was divided into an introduction and two main sections, each of which addressed related aspects, ending with a conclusion that included the most important results drawn. The research concluded the importance of adhering to public etiquette and the permissibility of praying in the streets, provided that the worshipper ensures that the place is clean and does not harm others.

تُعد آداب الطرقات وأحكام الصلاة فيها من المواضيع المهمة في الفقه الإسلامي، حيث تجمع بين الأخلاق الاجتماعية الرفيعة والعبادة الروحية السامية، فالإسلام ينظر إلى الطريق ليس فقط كممر للعابرين، بل كمساحة يجب أن تُصان فيها حقوق الأفراد وسلامتهم، مع الحفاظ على القيم الأخلاقية التي وضعها الشرع، ومن جهة أخرى تُعتبر الصلاة عماد الدين، ولا تؤدى إلا في أماكن طاهرة وآمنة، وهو ما يلزم المسلم بمعرفة أحكامها عندما تقتضي الحاجة أداؤها في الطرقات، وقد تناول البحث موضوع آداب الطرقات في الشريعة الإسلامية وأحكام أداء الصلاة في الطرقات من منظور فقهي إسلامي باستخدام منهج وصفي وتحليلي، وقد قُسم البحث إلى مقدمة ومبحثين رئيسيين تناول كل منهما جوانب مرتبطة، لينتهي بخاتمة تضمنت أهم النتائج المستخلصة، خلص البحث إلى أهمية الالتزام بالآداب العامة وجواز الصلاة في الطرقات بشرط تأكد المصلي من طهارة المكان وعدم الإضرار بالآخرين.

Abstract

The research deals with the study of the meaning of the word “morphology” in Sibawayh’s book. Sibawayh called it “morphology,” and it became clear to us that the definition of morphology in his book was not clear in its scientific form, and that he mentioned its rules and issues in his book. Perhaps this is due to the lack of stability of scientific definitions in Sibawayh’s time, but he described the structure of the language that consists of words, and the structure of words that consists of sounds. Then the research concluded with the most important results that it reached. The number of pages of the research was (13) and the most important sources used in the research were the book of (Sibawayh), the explanation of Sibawayh’s book by Abu Saeed Al-Sirafi, and the structures of morphology in Sibawayh’s book by Dr. Khadija Al-Hadithi.

Monitoring and Analyzing Agricultural Land Fragmentation in Al-Husseiniya District for the Period (2003–2030) Using Remote Sensing Techniques and the Random Forest Algorithm

Abstract

This research represents an important aspect of addressing the problem of agricultural land erosion and urban fragmentation in one of the most important agricultural areas in Karbala Governorate, namely Al-Hussainiya District. The research included a temporal and spatial analysis of the developments in the change in the size of agricultural holdings, their loss, and their conversion to residential areas over time periods spanning the years 2003, 2013, and 2024. This was achieved through the use of satellite images from Landsat 5-8 satellites, and an analysis of building and agricultural fragmentation indicators. Large agricultural areas were fragmented to less than 5 dunams. This indicates a change in the type of agricultural land. Thus, the calculation of the areas of these fragmented and agricultural holdings was centered within polygons. This process was managed with the help of GIS 10.8 technology, which displayed them in clear maps. This was preceded by the adoption of a questionnaire distributed to the district's residents to understand and determine the reasons for the expansion of the phenomenon. The researcher then turned to artificial intelligence applications to determine the expected size of the forecast for the year 2030 by using the Forest Random algorithm, which combined the results extracted from the agricultural polygons. The fragmented and entered the prediction codes for the Google Earth Engine platform, and the result was a prediction map of this phenomenon, which will exceed more than half of the area of the judiciary by the year 2030.

يمثل هذا البحث جانبا مهما لطرح مشكلة تأكل الاراضي الزراعية وتفتيتها عمرانيا في احدى المناطق الزراعية المهمة في محافظة كربلاء ضمن قضاء الحسينية ، تضمن البحث تحليلا زمانيا ومكانيا لتطور الحاصل في تغيير حجم الحيازات الزراعية وفقدانها وتحولها سكنيا عبر مدة زمنية تمثلت بـ اعوام 2003-2013-2024 من خلال استعمال المرئيات الفضائية لأقمار لاندسات 5-8 وتحليل مؤشرات الابنية والتفتيت الزراعي حيث المساحات الزراعية الكبيرة فٌتِت الى اقل من 5 دونم هذه تشير الى تغيير جنس الارض الزراعي مركزا بذلك حساب المساحات لتلك الحيازات المفتتة والزراعية ضمن مضلعات ادرت تلك العملية بمساعدة تقنية gis 10.8 والتي اظهرتها بشكل خرائط واضحة ، سبقها اعتماد استمارة الاستبيان وزعت على سكان القضاء لفهم وتحديد اسباب توسع الظاهرة ، ثم اتجه الباحثة الى تطبيقات الذكاء الصناعي لمعرفة حجم التنبؤ المتوقع لعام 2030 من خلال استخدام خوارزمية ( Forest Random) والتي دمجت النتائج المستخرجة من المضلعات الزراعية والمفتتة وادخال كودات التنبؤ للمنصة Google Earth Engin وكانت النتيجة اظاهر خريطة التنبؤ لهذه الظاهرة والتي سوف تتجاوز اكثر من نصف المساحة القضاء بحلول عام 2030.

A Pragmatic Analysis of Selected American Political Campaign Speeches in Light of Grice’s Cooperative Principle

Abstract

This study investigates the pragmatic techniques employed in selected campaign speeches by Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, drawing on Grice’s Cooperative Principle and the role of implicature in political persuasion. It aims to examine how political actors adhere to or flout Gricean maxims to achieve ideological effects beyond the literal meaning. Employing a qualitative pragmatic analysis, the study examines four election speeches. The findings reveal a stark contrast: Trump frequently flouts the maxims of manner and quality through ambiguity and exaggeration to mobilize support and challenge institutional legitimacy, whereas Harris consistently adheres to the maxims, using clarity and logic to build trust and shared values. The study concludes that political persuasion relies heavily on the strategic management of maxims and implicature to shape audience perception.

تبحث هذه الدراسة في التقنيات التداولية المستخدمة في خطابات حملات سياسية مختارة لدونالد ترامب وكامالا هاريس، بالاعتماد على "مبدأ التعاون" لغرايس ودور الاستلزام الحواري في الإقناع السياسي. تهدف الدراسة إلى فحص كيفية التزام الفاعلين السياسيين بحِكم غرايس أو خرقهم لها لتحقيق تأثيرات أيديولوجية تتجاوز المعنى الحرفي. واعتمد البحث على منهج التحليل التداولي النوعي لأربعة خطابات انتخابية. وأظهرت النتائج تبايناً واضحاً؛ إذ يخرق ترامب متعمداً حِكمتي "الأسلوب" و"الكيف" عبر الغموض والمبالغة لحشد الجمهور وتحدي الشرعية المؤسساتية، في حين تلتزم هاريس بالحِكم محققةً الوضوح والمنطق لبناء الثقة والقيم المشتركة. يخلص البحث إلى أن الإقناع السياسي يرتكز على الإدارة الاستراتيجية للحِكم والاستلزام الحواري لتوجيه إدراك الجمهور.

Loyalty, Lineage, and Paths of Ethnic Integration in Umayyad al-Andalus: An Analytical Study in Biographical Dictionaries (4th–6th AH / 10th–12th CE)

Abstract

This study explores the social structure of Umayyad al-Andalus through statistical analysis of biographical data found in biographical dictionaries (4th-6th centuries AH/10th-12th centuries CE), focusing on the institution of walāʾ (clientage) and its role in ethnic integration processes. Quantitative data reveal a distinctive Andalusian characteristic represented by the marginal role of walāʾ compared to the Islamic East, where approximately half of the biographies lack any explicit ethnic affiliation, while the proportion of explicitly mentioned mawālī (clients) does not exceed 8%. This phenomenon is attributed to a complex of factors including the absence of newly established garrison cities (amṣār), the significant presence of Berber elements in the conquest armies, the dominance of the Mālikī school which rejected recognition of walāʾ al-Islām and withdrew legal recognition from walāʾ al-muwālāh (contractual clientage), in addition to Umayyad state policies aimed at monopolizing clientage bonds. The phenomenon of muwalladūn (local converts) emerges as a structural anomaly in the social classification system, as these Arabized Muslims of local origins, who were not incorporated into tribal clientage, represented a dual challenge to the Arab elites monopolizing privileges and to Umayyad integration policies. Their revolts in the 3rd century AH/9th century CE, particularly the movement of ʿUmar ibn Ḥafṣūn, revealed the depth of the integration crisis, yet simultaneously confirmed the limited options available outside the Arab-Islamic framework. This work concludes that the process of Umayyad state-building gradually contributed to transcending sharp ethnic distinctions in favor of a composite Andalusian identity based on Islam and Arab culture, where mawālī and muwalladūn transformed into "Arabs" in the full cultural sense by the caliphal era and beyond.

تستكشف هذه الدراسة البنية الاجتماعية للأندلس الأموية من خلال التحليل الإحصائي للمعطيات البيوغرافية الواردة في كتب التراجم (القرنين 4-6هـ/10-12م)، مع التركيز على مؤسسة الولاء ودورها في عمليات الاندماج الإثني. تكشف المعطيات الكمية عن خصوصية أندلسية متفردة تتمثل في الدور الهامشي للولاء مقارنة بالمشرق، حيث يخلو نصف التراجم تقريبا من أية نسبة إثنية صريحة، فيما لا تتجاوز نسبة الموالي المصرح بهم %8. تعزى هذه الظاهرة إلى عوامل مركبة منها غياب الأمصار المستحدثة، والحضور الكثيف للعنصر البربري في جيوش الفتح، وسيادة المذهب المالكي الذي رفض الاعتراف بولاء الإسلام ونزع الاعتراف القانوني عن ولاء الموالاة، إضافة إلى سياسات الدولة الأموية الرامية لاحتكار روابط الولاء. وتبرز ظاهرة المولدين بوصفها اختلالا بنيويا في منظومة التصنيف الاجتماعي، إذ مثل هؤلاء المسلمون المعربون من أصول محلية، الذين لم يندرجوا ضمن الولاء القبلي، تحديا مزدوجا للنخب العربية المحتكرة للامتيازات ولسياسات الإدماج الأموية. وقد أفضت ثوراتهم في القرن 3هـ/9م، خاصة حركة عمر بن حفصون، عن كشف عمق أزمة الاندماج، لكنها أكدت في الآن ذاته محدودية الخيارات المتاحة خارج الإطار الإسلامي العربي. يخلص هذا العمل إلى أن سيرورة بناء الدولة الأموية ساهمت تدريجيا في تجاوز التمايزات الإثنية الحادة لصالح هوية أندلسية مركبة ارتكزت على الإسلام والثقافة العربية، حيث تحول الموالي والمولدون إلى "عرب" بالمعنى الثقافي الكامل بحلول عصر الخلافة وما بعده.

The study aims to analyze the military strategies employed by Ibn Dabara to purge the state’s provinces of armed Kharijite ideology. A persistent problem in pragmatic and political discourse studies is explaining how such face-threatening acts can be performed persuasively without undermining social harmony or speaker credibility. Although Mahatma Gandhi’s speeches have been widely examined from historical and ideological perspectives, there remains a lack of detailed pragmatic analysis that systematically accounts for how politeness strategies are used to manage face and mitigate confrontation in his political discourse.

تشتمل الخطب السياسية في الغالب على أفعال كلامية تُعدّ مهدِّدة لوجه المتلقي، مثل توجيه الأوامر، أو الحثّ على الفعل الجماعي، أو التعبير عن المعارضة. وتتمثل إحدى الإشكالات الجوهرية المستمرة في دراسات التداولية وتحليل الخطاب السياسي في توضيح الكيفية التي يمكن من خلالها إنجاز هذه الأفعال المهدِّدة للوجه بأسلوب إقناعي، من دون الإضرار بالانسجام الاجتماعي أو تقويض مصداقية المتكلم. وعلى الرغم من أن خطب المهاتما غاندي قد دُرست على نطاق واسع من المنظورين التاريخي والأيديولوجي، فإن ثمة نقصًا واضحًا في التحليل التداولي التفصيلي الذي يفسّر بصورة منهجية كيفية توظيف استراتيجيات التأدب لإدارة الوجه والتخفيف من حدّة المواجهة في خطابه السياسي.

This study examines the phenomenon of "Arabic Futuwwa" within the socio-historical context of modern Iraq, focusing on Ibrahim Hassan Abidkah (1874-1954) as a prominent model of popular resistance in Diyala Liwa. تتناول هذه الدراسة ظاهرة "الفتوة العربية" في السياق السوسيولوجي والتاريخي للعراق الحديث، مع التركيز على شخصية "إبراهيم حسن عبدكه" (1874-1954) كنموذج للمقاومة الشعبية في لواء ديالى. تهدف الدراسة إلى ردم الهوة في التدوين الأكاديمي للشخصيات الشعبية التي واجهت الاحتلال البريطاني ولم تحظَ بتوثيق رسمي كافٍ. اعتمد البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي مع الاستعانة بأدوات الأنثروبولوجيا التاريخية، ولاسيما "التاريخ الشفاهي" والمقابلات الميدانية لتعويض ندرة المراجع المكتوبة. يحلل البحث المفاهيم المرتبطة بالرجولة والفتوة في العرف الاجتماعي العراقي مفرقاً بين أبعادها القيمية والتصنيفات الجنائية، كما يستعرض البيئة السياسية والعسكرية إبان الثورة العراقية الكبرى عام 1920، وتتبع التحولات النفسية والاجتماعية التي صاغت شخصية ابن عبدكه من متمرد اجتماعي إلى ثائر وطني ومطارد سياسي. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن نموذج "الفتوة" لدى ابن عبدكه لم يكن مجرد خروج عن السلطة، بل مثل حالة مبكرة من الوعي الشعبي والرفض المجتمعي للوجود الأجنبي، مؤكداً على الدور المحوري للقوى غير النظامية في حماية السلم المجتمعي ومواجهة التحديات السياسية في تلك الحقبة.

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the effect of using a problem-solving strategy on developing creative reading skills and cognitive preference in Arabic language among second-grade intermediate students. The researcher formulated two null hypotheses. The study included second-grade intermediate students from Al-Hammiya School for Boys, representing the experimental group, and Al-Dhari School, representing the control group, in Salah al-Din Governorate for the 2024-2025 academic year. Two school divisions were selected to implement the strategy. Two test tools were developed to measure creative reading skills and cognitive preference using the problem-solving method, and data were collected through pre- and post-tests.

The impact of the Water Area on Agricultural Areas in the Duhok District for the Period 2020-2024 Using Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing

Abstract

This abstract presents the results of an analysis of changes in land cover and land use in the Duhok district for the period 2020 to 2024, utilizing remote sensing (RS) techniques and geographic information systems (GIS), specifically using Landsat 8 satellite imagery dated August 15th for both years. The comparison between 2020 and 2024 showed significant changes in land use within the district.
The area covered by pine and oak trees notably decreased from 234.3 km² (23.23%) in 2020 to 144.51 km² (14.33%) in 2024. Conversely, an increase was observed in the area classified as "agricultural," rising from 13.68 km² (1.36%) to 24.52 km² (2.43%), suggesting land reclamation efforts or a change in land use intensity. The slight increase in the water area, from 2.28 km² to 2.30 km², indicates a relatively stable management of surface water resources despite other challenges, and suggests an impact of water availability on these changes, albeit a relative one.

يستعرض هذا الملخص نتائج تحليل التغيرات في الغطاء الأرضي واستخدامات الأراضي في قضاء دهوك للفترة الزمنية بين عامي 2020 و 2024، بالاعتماد على تقنيات الاستشعار عن بعد (RS) ونظم المعلومات الجغرافية (GIS)، وتحديداً باستخدام مرئيات القمر الصناعي Landsat 8 بتاريخ 15 أغسطس للعامين المذكورين أظهرت المقارنة بين عامي 2020 و 2024 تغيرات ملحوظة في استخدامات الأراضي في القضاء
فقد تراجعت مساحة أشجار الصنوبر والبلوط بشكل كبير من 234.3 كم² (23.23%) في 2020 إلى 144.51 كم² (14.33%) في 2024 بينما نلاحظ زيادة المساحة الزراعية, لوحظت زيادة في الأراضي المصنفة "زراعي"، من 13.68 كم² (1.36%) إلى 24.52 كم² (2.43%)، مما يشير إلى استصلاح بعض الأراضي أو تغير في كثافة الاستخدام ويشير الزيادة في المساحة المائية له تاثير على ذلك ولو بشكل نسبي حيث زادت بشكل طفيف من 2.28 كم² إلى 2.30 كم²، وهو ما يشير إلى إدارة مستقرة للموارد المائية السطحية رغم التحديات الأخرى.

Abstract

The research dealt with the study and investigation of the handwritten message entitled: (A Message Related to Endowments) by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mustafa bin Khalil Al-Rumi Al-Hanafi, Abu Al-Khair Issam Al-Din, known as Tashkubri Zadeh (d. 968 AH). One of the most prominent scholars of the tenth century AH, author of useful works and prolific writings. This treatise, as the author states in his introduction, is a response to scholars who objected to his claim that the sale of property incorporated into a registered endowment is invalid. He relies on textual evidence, rational deduction, and the statements of the Hanafi school of thought. The research included an introduction explaining the manuscript's importance and a description of the approved versions and the investigation's methodology. It also included two sections: the first was a brief study of the author, may God have mercy on him, explaining his status and scholarly works. The second section included an investigation of the manuscript text and a list of the approved sources and references.

Abstract

تناول البحث دراسة وتحقيق الرسالة المخطوطة الموسومة: (رسالة متعلقة بالوقف) للشيخ أحمد بن مصطفى بن خليل الرومي الحنفي، أبي الخير عصام الدين، الشهير بطاشكبري زاده (ت968هـ). أحد أبرز علماء القرن العاشر الهجري صاحب التصانيف المفيدة والمؤلفات الغزيرة. والرسالة هذه كما صرّح المؤلف في مقدمته جاءت ردّا على من أنكر عليه من العلماء بعدم صحة بيع ملك ضُم الى وقف مُسجّل، بالاستدلال النقلي والاستنباط العقلي والاستشهاد بأقوال أئمة مذهب الحنفية. واشتمل البحث على مقدمة تضمنت بيان أهمية الرسالة المخطوطة ووصف للنسخ المعتمدة في التحقيق ومنهجه، ومطلبين الأول في دراسة موجزة عن المؤلف رحمه الله وبيان مكانته وآثاره العلمية، والمطلب الثاني اشتمل على تحقيق نص الرسالة المخطوطة. وقائمة بأسماء المصادر والمراجع المعتمدة.

Abstract

The summary discusses the status of reason in Islamic thought as a fundamental tool for understanding religion, life, and the universe. Islam encourages the use of reason, reflection, and contemplation, and considers the intellect the basis of moral responsibility and the means by which humans distinguish between good and evil, virtue and vice. Reason is also regarded as the faculty that enabled human beings to bear the responsibility of succession on earth, through which they can comprehend the realities of existence and understand Islamic law and divine revelation.

Abstract
