About the Journal
Description
Regional Studies Journal (RSJ)
is a peer-reviewed scientific quarterly open access journal concerned with publishing research and studies presented by researchers specializing in the field of humanities (history, political sciences, economic, law, sociology, culture, geography, security, public policies).
Regional Studies Journal published by the Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul:
1-Regional Studies Journal was established in 2004 concerned with publishing research and studies dealing with the affairs and relations of Iraq and regional states in the ’Modren & Contemporary history, political Sciences, economics, , social, law, political & economic geographic).
2- Regional Studies Journal is a scientific journal accredited by the International Standard Classification Number (ISSN). The research published in it obtained the (DOI) electronic document ID.
The Journal is administratively linked to Regional Studies Center - Mosul University, Mosul - Iraq. 4- The Journal is issued in the Arabic language, which is the original language of the Journal. Each research should be accompanied by a complete summary in the English language, as well as accepting the research in the English language.
5- The publication of the journal at Regional Studies Center, University of Mosul, Nineveh Governorate, Iraq.
6-Regional Studies Journal is one of the peer-reviewed refereed journals by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq and synchronously publishes its research with the site of the Iraqi scientific journals (iasj).
The journal is issued quarterly, i.e., four issues per year.
RSJ requires a 100 US$ fee for publishing an accepted manuscript.
9. RSJ is not financially supported by any governmental or non-governmental organization.
10-Regional Studies Journal can be browsed, accessed on its page, and download published research and articles on the page, and it is one of the journals available to enter and browse.
11. The journal content is archived with long-term preservation service on the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals website (IASJ) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq.

Aims and Scope of the Journal
The Regional Studies Journal (RSJ) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to publishing original research that deepens understanding and analysis of political, economic, social, legal, and historical phenomena within regional and international contexts. The journal seeks to contribute to development, stability, regional integration, and evidence-based policymaking.
The journal aims to:

Support rigorous academic research in accordance with international scholarly standards.

Encourage comparative and analytical studies on regional issues relevant to the Arab world, the Middle East, and neighboring regions.

Promote scholarly dialogue among researchers across related disciplines.

Contribute to the formulation of public policies based on research and informed analysis.

Support high-quality academic publishing in Arabic, while also welcoming submissions in other languages to broaden research impact.
Journal\'s Publication Scope:
The journal welcomes submissions in the humanities and social sciences on the following topics:
Modern and Contemporary History: Middle East and Central Asia, European Union, Russian Federation, China and Southeast Asian countries, and United States of America.
Political Sciences: International Relations, Political Systems.
Geography: Political Geography, Economic Geography.
Law: International Law, Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Civil Law, Administrative Law, Private Law, Commercial Law, and Criminal Law.
Economics: Economic Development, Sustainable Development, Regional Economics, Fiscal and Monetary Policy, Political Economy, and Accounting.
Social: Societal Transformations, Identity, Culture, and Social Conflict.

Regional Studies Journal (RSJ) publishes open-access articles, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. The RSJ publisher and editor are always willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when needed. All articles published in the RSJ are fully open access; immediately freely available to read, download and share. Articles published in the RSJ are under the terms of a Creative Commons license 4.0 (CC-By), which permits users to read, print and download, or redistribute, translate the article, download for text and data mining purposes, reuse portions or extracts from the article in other works. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through a trustworthy software named IThenticate to be assured about their originality and then rigorously peer-reviewed by international reviewers.
