About the Journal
Description
An international peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Al-Muthanna University, dedicated to advancing scientific research culture and promoting diverse research activities in the fields of humanities, educational sciences, and psychology. The journal facilitates the exchange of specialized scientific publications with research centers, institutes, and other academic institutions, thereby contributing to the expansion of knowledge in humanities, including applied and field studies, as well as the publication of conference proceedings and scientific symposiums. Established in 2008 under the name ‘Uruk Journal’, it initially published research across all scientific disciplines. In 2011, the journal specialized in humanities and was renamed ‘Uruk Journal for Humanities.’
Journal Scope
Subject Areas
- Arabic language studies: including Arabic literature, theology, phonetics, and other disciplines in general.
- English language studies: including linguistics, English literature, and their branches.
- History: Islamic history, modern and contemporary history, history of Iraq, Arab, and foreign countries.
- Geography: including all its branches, both natural and human, and related technologies such as geographic information systems and remote sensing.
- Psychology: including all stages of educational and child psychology, among others.
- Sociology: social sciences.
- Educational sciences: including specializations in education and teaching in general.
- Islamic sciences and Quranic sciences: including jurisprudence, interpretation, and rhetoric.
- Law: including public and private law, criminal law, and others.
- Political Science: including Political Thought, International Relations, Diplomatic Studies, and Political Geography.
